Yes folks, it's that time of year once again! 😀 Coming in just a few short weeks is our biggest party of the year; The Fifth Annual Buffy-Boards Awards Ceremony! This is the day that we get to showcase some of our awesome members (and occasionally steal drinks, dates and miscellaneous pancakes from one another.... and have a darned good time doing it! 😉). Complete with guest judges, special BB Twitter Updates, new categories and of course, the fun that everyone's come to expect from the annual bash. The "Buffies" will be taking place before the end of the month (exact date/time to be announced very soon), but to start things off: we need your nominations!
As was the case last year, we're asking everyone to send in your nominations via PM and once all of the nominations are in, a special panel of judges will decide from the candidates on a winner. If a judge happens to be nominated for an award, he/she will have the opportunity to either step down out of the running or sit out judging for that particular category. Also (as you'll see below), all Mods are once again exempt from certain categories. Regular Members and Prefects are of course eligible for any of the awards below 🙂

Storyteller Award - Best fanfic posted (or completed) in 2009. (Just a reminder that entries that were written last year for the Ficathon are now eligible for this award)Sunnydale Art Gallery Award - Best piece of artwork posted in 2009.
Xander/Anya Award - Funniest BB moment (a thread, single post or series of posts) in 2009
Regular Member Only Categories
L'il Pumpkin Belly Award- Cutest member or post in 2009. Class Protector Award- Most helpful/supportive member
Faith Award - Coolest member of 2009
Giles Award - Biggest Buffy/Angel expert, clever-clogs, know-it-all
Doyle Award - Most missed member of 2009 (Banned members are excluded from this category)
Sunnydale Press Award - This award goes to the member who keeps us all "in the know" by frequently posting Whedonverse news and happenings on BB.*new*
Winifred Burkle Award - This award is for BB's most "Underrated" Poster. *new*
Lorne Award - This award is for BB's Friendliest Member.*new*
Superstar Award - This award goes to BB's most Avid Fan. This person is always ready to show off their love for a Buffyverse Character/Ship, and does so in a consistently respectful way.*new*
Goldenboy Award – This award is for the member who displayed BB spirit at its finest in 2009!
- Please send all nominations via PM to Angelic Slayer by this Sunday, February 14th
- Although you don't have to submit a nomination for every category, please send any nominations that you do have all together in one PM.
- Only nominate one member per category please (and don't nominate yourself!)
- Please also be sure to include a link with your nomination for the Sunnydale Art Gallery, Storyteller, Xander/Anya awards so that we're sure we know which post you're referring to. 🙂
