Episode 7.22, entitled "The Chosen," is naturally being written and directed by Joss Whedon himself. What the production is looking for this time around is for five potential slayers. Our sources tell us a casting call went out today for the following roles:

Potential Slayer #1: East Indian, 14-17 years, she topples over in a marketplace, hit by something she doesn't understand
Potential Slayer #2: Caucasian, 12 years old, this unsure, mousy softball player at bat looks down at the plate, then looks up again with a wicked grin, steadying for the pitch
Potential Slayer #3: Japanese, 14-17 years, at home with her family, backs slowly away from the table feeling a bit unsteady
Potential Slayer #4: African American, 14-17 years, a girl in school who is ignored by the crowd, then steadies herself on a locker and looks around with new eyes
Potential Slayer #5: Caucasian, white trash, chubby. 14-17, when her father takes a swing at her, she rises powerfully, grabbing his arm, wrenches it away from her

We are told all five roles are non-speaking parts, and probably will not be working directly with the main cast and crew.

Shooting on this historic episode begins this Monday, April 7.

This fits my theory that I posted over a month ago.

Somehow, the interaction between the The First Evil, the two Slayers, the SITs and the Hellmouth changes everything forever.

There is no longer a single line that the Slayer power passes through. Suddenly, most, if not all, of the potentials are fully powered slayers, as well as several potentials that weren't known about.

Imagine the possiblities for spin-offs now that it appears Faith the Vampire Slayer is not going to happen.

I con't find an episode of Buffy or Angel that is entitle 'Fray'. Need youy to fill in the blanks for me AlleyCat.

Fray is a comic book series by the hand of Joss Whedon, which is about Fray, a slayer, but the series is set around 3 or 4 thousand. It is stated there that Buffy was the last gardian there. There will possibly be links to Fray in Buffy. Can you say
