First of all, I didn't know where to put this, I thought I better put this here. I am sorry if this is the wrong forum, feel free to move the topic, lol.
Anyways....I have been doing some major thinking about how Joss might let BtVS end ever since I watched Ep 117 'Normal Again'. I think that there's a good possibility that in the end it turns out that Buffy really just made this all up and that she's in psychiatry. I think that would be the BEST ending Joss could come up with, and at the same time, the worst. Why? Well, I definitely don't want it to end with everyone being happy and tra-la-la, something I feared when watching Ep 122 'Grave' with Buffy and Dawn watching the sun rise up and all the sentimental blabbering. I was like *ew*. I want it to have an open end, something that leaves you guessing. On the other hand, I think I'd be really - mh - I can't find the right word to describe, but I think I'd be weirded out if it really ends with Buffy just being a psycho, that would totally destroy my little world, lmao.
So- what do you guys think?

😱 You might be right! It would make sense out of what Ted said in season 3 "Ted". that it was all in Buffy head.,plus the fact that most of the scoobies seem to take there clue from Buffy without forming their own judgement. Dawn, especially. Buffy likes Riley she likes Riley, Buffy mad at Riley she mad at Riley. Buffy forgive Willow, she forgive Willow, etc, etc . You get the point. Never questioning if she human or not, although it not possible for her to be human and have that much power. or the fact that Xander see her as helpless, instead of asking her why hasn't she stake Spike (I like Spike, but I would have question her motive after "Sr") everyone following her blindly. It also could explains why we never see her Aunts or uncles? hello her mom just died, and no family member come to check up on them? what happen to her mom's friends at work, her dad? ::dk:: The why Joyce was so calm all the time. Most mom would be upset on learning that they daughter was dating someone much older than them, sneaking out late, and failing classes at school, but not Joyce.::nono1:: to her everything was ok she sometimes seemed unrealistic. With all that was happening in sunnydale, it would seemed like a great idea to move. Most mom would have thought of that in a heartbeat. It's either that or maybe Buffy is like Dawn and her parents were made up.???::nopity

Oh my gosh! The first time I watched that ep, I found it extremely chilling because that's what I thought of right away. It would be really disturbing to find out THAT episode was the only one based in reality. I can't describe why, it just would be, Maybe because then there could never be, in our own minds, a continuation of the story. I mean, thinking that Giles, Willow, Xander, and everyong else aren't real (OK, they *aren't* real, but hopefully you get my drift) would be very freaky.

It's true. That episode does leave you wondering...Creepy!.

It would be an excellent ending from a critical point of view, but I would also be devastated if it ended with Buffy being insane.

To be completely honest, I want Buffy to end with her leaving (not dying - again) and when Angel eventually ends (assuming it ends after Buffy), he becomes human and they get back together. I'm a hopeless romantic🙄

I completely see where you're coming from though. It would be the best, and the worst ending all rolled into one🙂

It just occured to me this morning that if Buffy were to end like this, what would that mean for the takeoffs like Anger and Ripper? Makes it a little difficult to continue those, no?

Totally my thinking, lmao!! I mean, they aren't real, but then again, they are, in a way, ya know? *shudders*

omg, sounds like a crazy good ending, I don't want to see some happy lalala ending either... and that would be so really scary and freaky 😀

Ya when I seen that ep with buffy in teh phyc ward I was like oh my gosh this has all been in her mind I could see that being away to end the season but I hope not as well willow and spike not being real its just to much to phatom LOL!!!

what would ya think about an end where everything would go really back to the beginning? you know like time repeating itself, buffy gets another chance to making everything right, saving all the ones she couldn't save... and the whole thing restarts? lol so we could just rewatch season 1 and it would never end 😀 (i know me is crazy 😉 )

I like that idea, I actually that that episode would have made a perfect ending except for the fact that...she isnt crazy... lol 😀

I've heard that the last episode this year (7.22) will be titled "The Beginning." That leads to some obvious speculation, especially since Faith will be in the final 5 episodes.

I don't know, TNT did it on "Witchblade" last season... 🙂

I like the idea of everything going back to the beginning. I once heard a quote that went something like this: "Time flows like a river. History repeats itself." Okay, so I was a little off track there, but that would be a great idea. Even though the idea of the ending being a takeoff of "Normal Again" is also great, I think that Joss would be a little more creative than to just give us rehash of an episode from the middle of a season. Perhaps we'll see Donald Sutherland and Kristy Swanson make an appearance. Or perhaps not. Haha.

It could work, but if it were to end, I'd like it too be in some mayor apocalypse or something. End it with a movie of both Buffy and Angel. They fight apocalypse thing ... yadiyadiyada ... lots of fighting. At the end she saves the day, but dies. All friends said for her death and happy for the survival of the world. Then at the end we also see Buffy waking up in the ward and going back home with Joyce and Hank! And then fade back to the friends. That would give a nice twist! But then it would not leave us totally clueless and it would show that the Scoobs and AI exsisted! And than it wouldn't be useless, what they had been doing the last 7 season (and many more, I hope)!

Ok, wouldn't it be possible to 'end' it by SMG turning out to be insane and it all to be in her head BUT that by creating the other characters so vividly in her own mind she has actually given them a tangible existence of their own without her.
Sort of like doppleganger but in and out of what the viewer thinks of as reality. That way she could come back at times and that be put down to her 'in reality' having another episode in her recovery.
Also that would enable BtVS to continue without her, also Angel and Ripper (if it ever materialises). But I do like the idea of Angel getting his mortality and ending up with Buffy. That would be so sweet.

No God, please no, do not let Buffy and Angel end up together, let Angel and Cordy end it together and Buffy go back to her realtity, that of "Normal Again"
