Ok, I was thinking, The First said as long as there is evil in the world then it exsists. So basically the First is out there and is still alive, so it will always be here cause evil is everywhere!
 
Yep it can never be destroyed, the only way they defated te first was by destroying it's ary and so crushing it plan for the moment.
 
a ballance needs to be maintained between good and evil....tip eaither scale and the world will be in chaos...... really miss buffy...... 🙁
 
The First doesn't die. It's always around. What we saw in Chosen was it's plan being foiled but The First is still alive and well. Not alive but you know what I mean.
 
yea, the first was still alive at the end of 'Chosen' but it's got to be severly damaged after having it's entire army destroyed and the Hellmouth closed. yeah, in know there's another one in Cleveland, but it's gonna take the first a while before it can get back to the level it was at when it attempted this. that may not even happen in Buffy's life time, so it could be all up to Fray now! lol!
 
hey well theres always an opetuntiy for josh to start new seasons later...hummmm....couldnt call it buffy though if she wasnt around....humm idea for willow 🙂 now that would be cool 🙂 willow the magical slayer haaaaaaa naaa dont think so some how.... lol
 
Yes, The First will always be alive. However, with the Hellmouth destroy, evil probably won't stur up for quite sometime.

Plus, with every girl now being a slayer...the first can't possibly raise an army big enough to destoy the entire world. Every girl who could be a slayer, is one.

I mean, the First could always decide "Hey, I'm going to try to destroy the world again." Anyways, yes he's alive.
 
At a guess i'd say whatever advantage the First had has now been destroyed. The reason it was able to act was due to the disruption in the slayer line that was caused by Buffy's resurrection. Once the slayer line was ended in Chosen (no line anymore, just a whole mess of slayers everywhere now) whatever the advantage was ended too.

The First still exists, no doubt about that, but i do doubt it will be able to act again in the way it did in season seven for a very long time.
 
Ya THe First is long from dead, you cant destroy the basic imbodiment(sp) of evil.

But right now The First was put back in its bottle, waiting to be dropped again, so it can break out and start causing havoc among the world again. And ofcourse it will get out again, when, noone knows.

Yeah, if the First was ever destroyed for good I think it would cause more damage than good.

The Whistler was in Buffy as he says, to maintain balance between good and evil. And theres basically the same thing in Tru Calling. Tru tries to help people from dying but Jacks there to make sure they stay dead. To stick to fates path.
Any disruption to this (liking wiping out ultimate evil) could cause major problems Id imagine. Theres a reason its fate after all.
