Ok, I'm a little confused. The first can take the shape of any dead person, right? How is it taking the shape of Buffy? Is it because she has been dead before? I'm really unclear on this matter. I hope that this is not a clone thread. I looked for a thread on this subject and I didn't find one. Anyhoo, if someone has some ideas on this, please feel free to post!!😀 😱
 
He/She/It can take the form of the dead (and previously dead). This includes Buffy and semi-dead folks like Spike.
 
Thanks for the info guys. I just got a little confused for a sec. Just want to make sure that I'm on the right track with Buffy!!😀 😀

I'm glad that I wasn't the only one wondering. It just really hit me in "Dirty Girls" when Caleb was talking to the First posed as Buffy. I don't why it didn't hit me in the beginning eps of this season. I'm a ditz!!🙄 😛
 
I feel like having a go at a crazy theory, seem as everyone else in the forum has one...

Maybe the First Evil's true form is the same form as the Last Guardian. It would allow the producers to do a Buffy/Buffy fight.

That really is a crazy theory...

That's not a bad theory after all. I hope something like that happens. It'll confuse the heck out of everyone. Well, as I said before I'm going spoiler free for the next two eps. I want to be totally surprised.😀 😀
 
That last episode confirmed some of my suspicisions. The First doesn't just take the physical shape of the dead, it actually manfiest's itself into that person(The Mayor). If that's the case it literally has access to all that is Buffy. I'm not sure if it's limited to her before her death or after or what, but wow what a tremendous advantage.

A Buffy vs. Buffy fight would be awesome.
 
well Joss did intead on the First taking on the form of Tara and the first wouldve done it alot to but Amber Benson and Joss didnt agree since Amber thought the fans wouldnt be ready for it and she didnt want her charecter to be protrayed evil and anyone notice how the first always dresses better then buffy herself and I think that the first takes on their personalities cause u see how buffy lost her sense of humor mostly during S6&7 when she came back but the first is like how buffy used to be, funny and witty I think the first can take on the part of somones personality that they dont have anymore and since buffy didnt come back completly the first is able to do take on buffys humerous side
 
Ok, I was talking with a guy at school and we were discussing Caleb and the first as Buffy. He came up with the theory that the first is taking the shape of Buffy to channel her power through Caleb. After all, he is just as strong as Buffy or maybe even stronger with the first helping. What does anyone think of this theory? I think that it makes a lot of sense because the only thing that Caleb does is show super strength. He doesn't do anything else supernatural. 😱 😱
