Friends reunion is happening this May with every main cast member returning.
It is supposed to stream on HBO Max on May 27.

"HBO Max stated that: '... in order to avoid any misunderstanding about what this special is, we want to make it very clear that this is not a new, original episode of the series. The cast will be appearing as themselves, not as their beloved characters.'" (Source: The Hollywood Reporter)

Very little. Basically - it's a chat show with guests. What have Beckham, BTS and Corden got to do with Friends?

It's weird to see them all aged and they've put on weight. David Schwimmer kind of reminds me of "fat" Monica, in that in that you can still clearly see he's "Ross" but he has a lot of padding. Matt Leblanc is the size of when Joey wore all the jumpers so he wouldn't feel his girlfriend punching his arm, Matthew Perry and Lisa Kudrow still look a little like their characters but 25 years later, whilst Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox have clearly had botox.

I'm not picking on the actors for aging and putting on weight because it has been 27 years since friends started, but it's a little weird when you remember them as this:

I wish it were a new canon episode but I’m really looking forward to seeing the gang back together again.
I think they all look great- although I’m sad that Courtney had surgery.

I’ve seen Jennifer Aniston in a lot of other films since Friends so she looks how she always has done to me. I think Lisa looks amazing she’s aged so gracefully this is why Courtney didn’t need surgery😍

The fact that all 6 of them are still alive and able to work is something to be thankful for 🙂 (unlike Glee which is probably going to only have a handful of cast members left in 2036 if not less).

I know 11 (and I'm embarrassed to admit one of those is BTS). I'd forgotten Tyler (Gunther); Wheeler (Janice) and Lennon (Randall). I say "forgotten" - don't think I knew their real names in the first place and who's Randall?

Bit of a mixed feeling.
I love Friends. Have watched it more times than I can count.
Seen every behind the scenes feature available and so on.

So I feel that I should be more interested and excited than I am at the moment and I don't really know why... lol
Will probably check it out though.

Sigh...people used to ask me "What do you want out of life" and I used to respond "To watch Friends while eating a bag of nougat". I've just realised two things: a) my aspirations have changed and b) you can never go back. 🙁
