The Fugitive (1960s tv series)

Just wondering if anybody has watched the old Fugitive tv series from the 1960s. I only started watching it nearly a year ago and it’s very good, though I’ve only watched up to halfway through season 2. Ahead of its time, imo, though it’s a bit slow-paced and formulaic by today’s standards.

Most episodes are standalone, but there is some continuity. Good balance of drama, action and humour with complex characters. Great acting from David Jannsen and Barry Morse . Quality wise, it’s around the same level as Buffyverse for me. Kimble and Karen’s romance in the two-parter Never Wave Goodbye reminded me of Buffy and Angel’s own romance.

Yeah, I watched it when it first aired. I remember it inspired several rip offs, like "Run For Your Life," and "Coronet Blue," basically shows about a character running from one life experience to the next, with only a few, if any, support characters in recurring roles.

I didn’t know it inspired so many ripoffs. Only knew of The Incredible Hulk 1970s series. I think it’s still quite a unique show, though I might be biased, as I’m not familiar with other drifter-type dramas and I only really like a few dramas anyway.
