The Gift has to be the best ending in the whole Buffy verse

We're obviously a different type of forum to what you're used to.

I suggest you take an hour or so, look around the place get a feel for it, see how threads look and decide if you can do that or not then decide if you wanna hang around or not - ok!

A member has created a thread for discussion. If you don't want to discuss, stay out of the thread. We're not here to be mean and anti-social to the new members.
 
Lyri, we know that, but if the new member would just search the forums, he'd find that threads like this already exists.

Didn't mean to pick... Just wanted to encourage you yo post your reasons why you think it's the best finale ever.

I personally don't agree... I think Chosen has the 'best finale ever' thing locked down. 😀 I LOVED the fight scene, and then the way Sunnydale fell into a giant hole. 😀

Besides which, opening ten threads in one day, all with just one sentence in the opening post and a poll at the top, taxes my patience (and I reckon I'm not the only one). No offense, but just as EB said, we're used to "quality over quantity" on this board.

I actually don't care much for The Gift for two reasons.

Being the 100th episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, it should have been more...fulfilling. Nothing even happened until the very end of the episode.

Also being the potential end of the series, having the lead character die would have been an insult to the fans. In the first season finale, Buffy overcame the problem all the other Slayer's faced and were defeated by: death. Having Buffy die was like pretending that Prophecy Girls never happened. And they should have also had Faith, Angel, Cordelia, Oz, Joyce (In some form), and any other major character appear.

Hon, if you make a thread people will probobly reply to it! Also, before posting a thread, do a quick search and see if it has already been posted 🙂 That just makes it easier for everyone to navigate!

It's ok, we can be kinda sarcastic 🙂 I'm glad you're liking the boards so much! And Buffy is an awesome show. Have you seen the whole thing yet or are you only on S5 right now?

I would agree and say this probobly isn't a well, appropriate subject for a whole thread. It's more of a comment, which you could have posted as argument in a already-made thread about the episode "The Gift."

Anyway. Yeah, that is a great episode. Makes me cry everytime, no matter how many times I've seen it.
 
I suggest some people on here stop being board snobs and find a way to be more welcoming or they will find themselves looking for a new board right quick. If there is a problem with how a member posts the staff will take care of it - please do not take it upon yourselves to tell someone else what they can or can't do on the board.

I must have missed something, because everyone seems pretty cranky today and I'm not sure why.

I'm tempted to agree that the Gift is one of the best endings in Buffyverse. For me, it's between the Gift and Chosen, and I would probably go with the Gift. I guess that means I prefer the tearjerker ending to the happy one.
