This exchange from 'Passion' is particularly sad:
WILLOW: I have to go. I have a class to teach in about five minutes, and I have to arrive early to glare disapprovingly at the stragglers. (sees Jenny arriving) Oh, darn. She's here. Five hours of lesson planning yesterday down the drain...

BUFFY: (sees Jenny, too) You know what? I'll see you in class.

BUFFY: (to Jenny) Hey.

JENNY: Hi. Uh, is there something that... Did you want something?

BUFFY: Look... I know you feel badly about what happened, and I just wanted to say... Good. Keep it up.

JENNY: Don't worry, I will.

BUFFY: Oh, wait. Um... He misses you. He doesn't say anything, I mean, but I know he does. And I don't want him to be lonely. I don't want anyone to.

JENNY: Buffy, you know that if I have a chance to make this up...

BUFFY: (interrupts) We're... good here. Let's just leave it.

I stumbled across a beautiful Giles/Jenny video and wanted to share:

It got me thinking how sad it really was how it turned out with Giles and Jenny.

Thoughts? Who else loved Jenny and Giles?

I thought that Giles and Jenny were so freaking adorable together. I hate that they didn't get a chance at love, I think they would have gone the distance and been a great couple! Poor Giles, he never gets the girl, at least not for long.

WOOOHOOO! This is my 100th post!! YAY! Goes by so fast!

I did love Jenny/Giles. They were very sweet together - they balanced each other out well with her being a modern techno-pagan and him being a stuffy old classicist. And the scene where Giles finds her dead is absolutely heartbreaking.

Yeah, 'Passion' is in my top three favorite episodes of BtVS. It's just so...perfectly executed, acted, and written. That scene where he finds her dead is just so, so sad I agree.

I really liked Giles/Jenny. I remember being so shocked when Angelus killed her. 🙁 I can't remember (been a while since I watched S2) - but hadn't they only recently reconciled?

It was a very sweet, natural relationship.

I refuse to admit that I support any 'ship of any kind... but I did like Jenny and the relationship between her and Giles worked really great.
As xaphania said, it felt natural.

Giles/Jenny was very sweet and the epitome of an adult relationship -- the "will they/won't they" factor, and all the anticipation and waiting just for a date... it was a nice break from the "Be together or die" mentality of Bangel.

I was heartbroken when Jenny died. I loved Giles and Jenny together so much, and for me there could never have been another good enough for Giles. Jenny brought him out of his shell a little, and it was always so funny how she loved to pick at him to see if she could get a reaction. 🙂 Watching their love grow from Season 1 through Season 2 was so beautiful and it was the classic example of opposites attracting.
It always bothered me that Giles and Jenny didn't get to be together longer. I wish the writers wouldn't have killed her off, or if they felt they really had to, I wish it wouldn't have been so soon.

I think that Giles and Jenny, over the long run, would have been very good for each other, each bringing out the best in their partner, very much like Willow and Tara were. I also believe that Giles never managed to completely forgive Angel for her death. Intellectually, he might have been able to separate Angelus and Angel, but emotionally, he was never able to look at Angel without seeing the monster who murdered quite likely the only woman who he ever truly loved.

Giles & Jen were wonderful together, I so wish we would have gotten more of them and have seen their 'ship develop beyond the preliminary stages. Jenny was a fun and complex character (not to mention a beautiful woman, too); she got torn out way too soon - which was certainly most effective from the PoV of establishing Angelus as a truly despicable villain, and that "your nice boyfriend is dead!", but still, it's a damn high price to pay losing a wonderful character for it. 🙁
