The Golden Globes 2012

I'm going to watch it, although it'll be the middle of the day where I am and I don't really know who the nominees are. I'm mainly interested in it for Ricky Gervais. He's hilarious. 😀
 
I know nothing about it, except that Ricky Gervais is hosting it (I saw it on Ellen 🙂). Is there any Whedon related people that are nominated?

Thanks for sharing! I must admit, there's a lot of films in there I haven't seen. 50/50 seems interesting! I love Joseph Gordon-levitt, he's one of my crushes 🙂

I would love to watch this! Award shows are always so fun, and I always cry when people are happy about getting their award. 🙂 I don't know if there's a way of seeing it for me though. I'm going to google that. 🙂
 
I know I havent seen many either! A lot of them have only just come out in the UK (Artist/ War Horse/ My Week With Marylin/Shame) and some that arnt even here yet (really want to see J Edgar and Carnage (I LOVE Kate Winslet!)

Wooop! Im glad Meryl Streep and Kate Winslet won! They are INCREDIBLE actresses - my two favourites 🙂
 
I think it's cool that Steven Spielberg's Tintin won. That film was amazing.
I also liked that Laura Dern won an award. I love her in Jurassic Park and it's cool that she didn't, like, disappear after the success with Jurassic Park.
Some actors or actresses have one big movie and then nothing. But she was famous before JP, anyway.
 
I watched the Golden Globes on E! yesterday and Ricky was a lot funnier than last year, even if he had toned down his jokes. They weren't as offensive. As for the winners and what not, some of it seemed very predictable. I was stunned that the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo was shunned in all it's catergories and poor Leonardo Dicaprio was also shunned. He just can't seem to get his win when it's been long overdue already.

I agree - so glad it won Best Animated Film it was such an amazing film. It was so exciting, the graphics were amazing - really enjoyable!

I know what you meant! I really felt for him - he really deserves a win, as you say it is long overdue. I loved him in The Departed, Blood Diamond, The Aviator, Shutter Island, Revolutionary Road and of course Inception! Can't wait to see J Edgar! Such a shame - he needs a win!! Hes playing Gatsby later this year in Great Gatsby so heres hoping that will do it for him!!
