Anyone watch?

I thought it was pretty good. I was surprised Leo won for Best Actor. He's looking a bit older these days.

Jennifer Garner's dress I think may add to the rumours about her being pregnant as it seemed designed to hide her midsection.

I cried when Jamie Foxx got up for his award. It was so sweet about when he thanked his grandmother.

Also, I was rooting for Sarah Jessica Parker for best actress, but wasn't too upset that Terri Hatcher won because I like her too.

Ian McShane won best dramatic TV actor then? I guess that will be for Deadwood. Was that any good? The trailers made it look interesting but it was a case of "too much telly, not enough time to watch it all" when Sky showed it here...
Oh and Nip/Tuck best TV drama...good choice voters.
As for the frocks (like I know about them🙂) Kate Winslet and Joely Richardson looked good to me and Renee Zellwegger and Fergie should've taken fashion advice...🙂

I didn't watch it, but did manage to catch a quick glimpse. Mischa Barton looked amazing. She should stick to modeling, because her acting ain't all that great.

Eternal Sunshine was robbed. That movie is beautiful and amazing. Sideways may be amusing but Eternal Sunshine made you laugh and think and care. Spooty ol Alexander Payne.

I was upset that Eternal Sunshine and Finding Neverland didn't win a single award. Kate Winslet should've won instead of Annette Benning. I'm happy that Jason Bateman and William Shatner won, especially Jason because I love AD and he's brilliant in that. I think either Edie or Jennifer should've won instead of Mariska. That Nip/Tuck win was quite a surprise. I think Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman or SJP should've won instead of Teri Hatcher.

Over at Whedonesque, they posted Eliza's pictures from the event. For some reason they're not working when I click the link, but from what I can see of the thumbnail, her dress looks awfully hideous.

I was surprised about Terri Hatcher's win too. She would have be second in my opinion, since I consider Marcia Cross to to be the real winner.

I quite like Terri Hatcher myself. She seems genuine and nice. However I think when it comes to Desperate Housewives Marcia Cross definetly deservers the accolades for acting. Bree isnt very two-dimensional like Terri's character Susan has been known to be. I would like Finding Neverland to get some type of attention yet you have to wonder does a biopic that takes so much license with a persons life deserve awards. I think the reason the aviator won is because for the most part it stayed true to Howard Hughes life where as Finding Neverland and Beyond the Sea both wanted to gloss over too much. Annette Benning was wonderful in Julia and deserves every award in the book. Did she win for American Beauty a few years back? If not she was robbed. Johnny Depp looked awful last night.

Annette Bening didn't win for American Beauty, Hilary Swank won the award for Boys Don't Cry. Annette was great in AB, but Hilary's potrayal of a tranvestite is supposed to be really powerful.

I was thrilled that Nip/Tuck won the best drama.

Was quite ticked that Julian McMahon didn't get the best actor in a drama, cause he sure deserves it.

And Jennifer Garner had the best dress.

I love Teri Hatchers dress also. I am so happy that Nip/Tuck won it really was a phenomonal season. I was annoyed that Julian McMahon didn't win either, he is just fantastic.

Frenchy Faith agrees: I too think Finding Neverland diserved something. How do you know how close to the true is the story? Are there biographies?

There are a few biographies. I think even the filmakers said they took a fanciful approach to it all. Ofcourse questions of pedophilia were never proven. Beyond the Sea did the same with Bobby Darrin. So did The Aviator with Howard Hughes. In the year of the biopic I think only Ray stayed true to the characters life.
