Is heaven not immortality? Which they are participating in now?

I am just gona enjoy it while it lasts. The quips will keep me laughing no matter the circumstances. It doesnt need to run forever to be enjoyable.
For now, its my weekend laugh and personally not concerned with how or when it ends at this stage.

I'm glad i can watch it as it airs as usually I am behind the times and only see these sorts of things once they have finished. I Appreciate the thread 😀

I haven't watched it but the first video is beginning to sound like "Joan of Arcadia" with season-long arcs and a person who is already dead rather than still alive. The professor tales the place of God and uses philosophy rather than directives but otherwise seems similar.

I am enjoying the aussie accents, and our much easier identifiable money, so nice to hear my people 😛 Even if they are eastern state accents 😉 LOL Love Elenors explanation of the US. Totally agree on too many spiderman movies. Another few familiar faces. Oh Chini… awww. Where did Jason get tacos in a paper bag from? I want to hug Janet, I want her to be happy with her Jason-puppy. Oh dear poor 3rd wheel Hemsworth. As always, looking forward to next Friday!


It seems that Chini and Elenor have reversed ideals, even down to near exact actions (shopping in a messy manner). Did this break him? I wonder if he will be different moving on, or if he will get over it and be same old Chini. Elenor makes the struggle look real haha.
 
Did I scare everyone off again?

Last week was a little on the slow side. I enjoyed meeting Donkey Doug, how cute is Jason?

I love how the characters are all little pieces of people. I haven't watched the videos posted above, so many this is addressed in them, but do we all relate to one or another? Or a mixture? I am most like Chidi crossed with Tahani (minus the looks), I wish I had Elenors wit, and Jason is the type I am sexually attracted to.

I have the latest episode about to start right now. Reaction to follow 🙂
 
Current episode - possible spoilers.

Ohhh this will be good! Memory flood. Haha I can pull off the bald 😉 Elenor is totally gona go rescue Chidi from his current hell. Michael and Elenor interact so well together, perhaps cos the actors are so great. I love watching them play off each other, even though they are separate from the group. Why is his name Michael? Is he actually an angel trying to guide the characters to true happiness?

Hahaha "even metaphorically it is lame". Sometimes I feel like saying that in Whedonverse conversations. Oh I love this discussion in the library/bar! Aw Micheal YAY, his explanation of free will is great. Haha now he is describing Jesus and all bible based religion. Can't wait to see who they meet to model their lives on!

Definitely a rewatchable "think about while I am cleaning" type episode! It'll take me approximately 4 more watches to appreciate it fully 😀
 
I love The Good Place!! It's very bingewatchable.

For me, Season 3 has been a bit of a mixed bag. I think being in the Good Place was where the show excelled. I was worried about how the show would cope on Earth and honestly, I feel Janet has really suffered. I hope they find her some good material other than pining over Jason because she's one of the best characters.

Also, Ted Danson. What a silver fox!!
 
My guess is that they later explore the "true" good place being where you make it.

I havent missed Janet too much, but agree she is the best. I assume there are reasons for the slightly lacking family intro eps.

It was nice in this latest episode to get some real dialogue. And the reason for so very many reboots in the good place, is so they continue to have material to go flashback to.
 
So this is the first episode of s3, that I have thoroughly enjoyed. Not that the other episodes were bad, it's just this last one felt like old times I guess. I really liked the flashbacks to when they were in the "good" place. I also really enjoy Eleanor's and Michael's scenes together. They are hilarious.
It was also interesting to hear them discuss free will. While I agree with Micheal's POV, I do see some of Eleanor's points. But I was glad to see that she even realized that she was being irrational just because she was scared to be vulnerable.
 
Another great episode. Doug was great haha! Understanding the whole system of things made his life on earth hell. Not all aspects though - to see animals as friends is very sweet. I know there is a waste recycle water plant in Oz. I hope we see him again. The fight scene was really cheesey but obviously so and a good laugh. Jason just cracks me up. There were some nice character bonding moments. Janet was brilliant and I am pleased we will see her back with full powers in the next adventure. Have we met the accountant before? I am really enjoying this show, it is so clever but balanced with silliness. I cant remember any thing else like it. I am sure this will be on my rewatch list for years to come.
 
I totally got that name wrong too - what is the name of the guy who figured out the ways of the universe?

I live a little like him, not to that extreme. I wont save animals from euthanasia though, cos I'd end up a hoarder. And I kill plants on the regular.
 
The title for the next episode is
"Janet(s)" so I'm guessing it'll be a Janet heavy episode... Maybe we'll see multiple versions of Janet?
 
We briefly glimpsed Bad Janet in the last episode, so maybe this will be the grudge match between Good and Bad Janets.

I havent got the latest ep on my Netflix 🙁 Is there a holiday break or is the season finished?
 
Then there will probably be a long wait for the last 3 episodes. That's the way they've done it before. A dumb way to do a 13-episode season, if you ask me.

Wow, D'Arcy Carden was amazing in last night's episode! And now we wait again, this time until January...
