The Great Buffy Redemption Debate

Actually i think the death penalty is the easy way out... Murders kill people yeah but then they get to die and not have to live with what they did? When did that become fair. Most murders have fun with their victims first do things to them mentally and phsysically... So why shouldn't they sit in jail and rot? Sit there and think of everything they had done... Have their victims screaming over and over inside their head begging them to have mercy on them. Death is the easy way out... it really is... one little needle and thats it.. No pain no anything.

So Jail is a perfect way to reflect.. Heck its really all you sorta have time for. Its not like it was all pea's and carrots for Faith. She worked hard in that place.. she suffered just as much as Angel and spike did...

Do you really believe that hard-core criminals give two-hoots about the people they killed? I'd say you're giving them too much credit. They don't hear their victims screaming in their head.

And, if you believe in some sort of afterlife, criminals would be those who burn in hell for their sins forever or get reincarnated as slugs to be stepped on by human feet or eaten by a bird.

Faith might have had her fair share of suffering, sure. But isn't the moral of the story "It's not the hardships in life that shape you, but the way you react to them?" Did she react to them with courage and strength? No, she took it upon herself to shut out everything and self destruct. Just keeps proving that she's week and not cut out for the road of redemption.
