One thing that makes me laugh is imagining the characters finding it somehow. Some fanartists could do that, like a Kigo (Shego/Kim Possible (*) fanartist drew comics of of the two as cats listening to her as she brainstormed kigo fics, and Shego the Cat ends up attacking the fanartist with her claws...and another (can't recall if it's the same fanartist) has Shego in a bored, jaded "how in the hell did I get shanghaied into this" tone as she hosts some anniversary of Kim Possible lore, and then goes berserk as she plays one video and sees that it starts off with, "The Best of Kigo."

(* if you never heard of Kim Possible it then I'll just say their canonicial relationship vaguely represents the one of Faith/Buffy with them being like polar opposites, though they have been known to work together, were even best friends in one episode. Kim Possible has a lot in common with high school Buffy, though she's guided by a computer genius rather than a Watcher in a satire of spy thrillers and superhero genres, while Shego does the dirty work of others, typically one in particular obsessed with taking over the world, but often radiates a "don't give a flip" attitude and somewhat resembles Faith in attitude...she's more sarcastic to those who boss her around than Faith is with the Mayor, though, and Shego also has more common sense than Faith does--at least when she's evil, when Shego becomes good and Kim Possible's best friend then she turns into a ditz for some reason.
Interesting enough that also happens to Kim's sidekick Ron, who is frighteningly competent while evil while a lucky klutz when good--when Ron gets turned evil by a certain device, as happens accidentally by 2 different villains, then the primary mission is always turn Ron good again because he becomes far more dangerous than the villain they're currently fighting, through Evil Ron doesn't hesitate to knock down that current villain to take over anyway. I suppose the lesson of Kim Possible is "good is idiotic, but lucky."

I regret the show never showed us what an evil Kim Possible would be like, perhaps even having an Evil Kim Possible fighting a Good Shego. Shego and Kim Possible are always getting into fights, Shego seeming to relish those moments where she otherwise seems mostly bored, but taking pride in being evil...at least when she's evil.)
I imagine things like that for many ships. Somehow, I think Kirk and Spock would just be bemused (or maybe grimace as they realize they're fooling no one

guns and handcuffs" as he thinks "simple muggle weapons and toys, unable to use a wand, poor, despicable things, might as well finish this report" only to find out what it's really about...
