The 'Teaser' is the prologue which consists of the first chapter of each episode that goes from the start until the shows intro credits begin. Usually this segment goes for between 30 seconds and six minutes, although some episodes on the DVD sets do not have a teaser. For this topic the teasers do not include the 'Previously on Buffy the Vampire Slayer'. So post your favorite teasers that had you dying to see what happened next.
Mine are:
Prophecy Girl: Xander's "date me" speech, Buffy's slo-mo fall to the ground, The Master's earthquake. ""Yes, yes! Shake, earth! This is a sign. We are in the final days. My time has come! Glory, glory! What do you think? 5.1?"
School Hard - starts with Synder dictating Parent-Teacher night on Buffy and Sheila; then cuts to the three of them, and the girls berate Xander for saying that nothing will happen and he says that it could happen. Then, all of a sudden cuts to Spike crashing into Sunnydale: "Home sweet Home".
Lie to Me: Drusilla and Angel talk in the park and Buffy looks on.
Beer Bad - Buffy's dream about saving Parker's life twice to two different responses from Parker. So hilarious! 😀
The teaser for Buffy vs. Dracula is pretty fantastic. Buffy tosses and turns in bed, unable to get to sleep. She pulls away from Riley, puts on her clothes and goes on the hunt. After a brutal fight with a random vampire she crawls back into bed without ever letting on that she was gone. I think it's a great little scene that foreshadowed her and Riley's demise, as well as her entire journey in season 5.
Conversations With Dead People: "Can I make it right...can I spend the night.....alone". Hands pops out of grave. "Here we go".
But my favorite will probably have to be The Gift. "But you're just a girl?" "That's what I keep saying". Summed up the entire series in two sentences. I loved it.
