It's grammatically incorrect, I know but I'm still asking this question since I shook up a lot of justifiable negativity, so I'd like to shake up some justifiable positivity.
I'll give my own answer, or some of them as others post.
 
For keeping Spike past S2 and for doing OMWF, I'm proud/ashamed to say I know every word of that episode as I've watched it so many times. 😀

For creating Buffy Summers, introducing Tara/Willow, keeping Spike around, and giving Angel his own show. I'd include expanding Cordelia's character on AtS, but I heard that was mostly David Greenwalt.

For just making Buffy. As I've posted elsewhere, my daughter is now hooked. Yes, HP worked sort of as a gateway into "chosen one" addiction for her, but I still think it says a lot for a show that I am addicted to, my mom is addicted to and now my daughter is hooked on (she's memorized pretty much all of OMWF and Something Blue). We now also have ongoing bunny jokes😛

I give him props for creating the Buffyverse and characters that speak to different people (as in, they're not all cookie-cutter personalities). I like the exploration of the gray area of morality.

As much as it has pained me at times, he (and the other writers) have done a great job at capturing and illustrating heartache and the pains of growing into adulthood.

I'm watching from the beginning, one episode a night, with my 11 year old daughters every night. just finished season 1. It's so awesome to share it with them!
For doing things I would never do and I thought he was stupid for doing... but turned out BRILLIANT!!!!!!

Some specific moments that have made me "happy at Joss",

The whole reveal of Spike getting his soul back, for the love of Buffy.

And S6, when Spike first sees Buffy resurrected, walking down the stairs of her home.

I was going to say Hush but I remember he said he 'borrowed' that idea from Space: Above and Beyond so I will have to say OMWF. Maybe it was the success of OMWF that allowed a show like Glee to find its footing. On second thought.. CURSE OMWF!!
 
Spike burning to death. AtS S5? La-la-la, I can't hear you! 😀

"Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered". All of it. "Doppelgangland" except for not killing Vamp!Willow, that was lame. Willow/Tara except for S6. Xander vs Cordelia, the snark battle of the century. The songs in OMWF, the plot is terrible but the songs rock. "Prophecy Girl", "Becoming".

All the precious Scooby friendship moments like Buffy tackling Willow to the ground with a hug at the end of Choices. Or The Scoobs watching an Indian movie in Reptile Boy. Or Giles and Cordelia annoying each other during research party in Killed By Death. Or Willow encouraging Anya in Triangle with the words "I have faith in you, there is nobody you can't piss off". Or Dawn becoming all squee-y after seeing Willow and Tara getting back together. This is what makes me rewatch the show, despite being so grumpy about like half of it.

IWRY the first 37 minutes or so. Best ep ever.

Although the last 5 minutes is the moment i'm most upset with Mr. Whedon for.
 
Angelus. Total shocker for all of us. The 2nd half of season 2 is brilliant, and heartbreakingly tragic.

And ITA on Darla- loved, loved loved her in ATS. Also, character development in Cordy & Wesley.

The Body (hate to love it, KWIM?), OMWF, Smile Time.
