The Happiness Thread

Today I went shopping which is always fun. 🙂

I got my favourite movie of all time 'The Lucky Ones' on DVD, a new pair of sandles, a new fan, a hair cut, and 6 new shirts. Pretty good day. 🙂
 
I've written my first blog post for my music blog since about 6 months ago. I feel like I've actually achieved something which is nice. 🙂
 
I should be happy cos Im going away for the weekend, but really Im more scared than happy - a whole weekend with the boyfriends family eeek! But I am looking forward to having the boy with me all weekend. Now I just have to finish packing and clean the house, thats not going so well!
 
I'm happy because it sounds like my car will be ready by the time I get off of work at 5:15. Because the mechanic told me to come on over then. At 5:15.

There was some voltage thing that needed replacing/fixing.

@NY State Of Mind -my car is not a LEMON! It's 9 years old. It's getting old. lol.

I'm eating Angel Food Cake with Raspberries. It's two of my fave! things put together.

Also The Hubby is taking me out tonight for my birthday. Even though it's not for a couple days. But he is taking me to but more art supplies and then out to eat at my favorite place ever.

It's a Japanese hibachi grill place . . that has SUSHI! Can't even begin to describe my elation.

I had a good day today. 🙂 I'm wearing my new "Empire State of New York" t-shirt, and I went to the lake with my sis. It was pretty fun, and we actually got along the whole time. 😛
 
Bought a bunch of books! And I got them for really cheap because I bought them from the used bookstore at my library when I was waiting in line to check out even more books. lol. But I found some really great books from some of my favorite authors, and I'm happy. Unaccustomed Earth by Jhumpa Lahiri, The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler, a collection of three books by Annie Dillard, When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris, and the first LOTR book.

I've almost got all of s8. I'm stuck though. I can't read past issue 8, because I don't have 9. :/ I only need 9,11, and 24. 24 seems REALLY hard to find!
 
I just finished the second issue of season 8... now I just need to find the rest. 🙂

my daughter's snoring is making me happy right now... sounds like music.

moms are so weird! (or so I'm told by my kids)
 
It's totally my birthday!!!!

And I finally get to leave work in two hours. I've been here for almost 24 hours. Ugh.

And I just ordered a pizza to feed myself! So I won't be starving anymore once it gets here.

I'm so happy that I'm giddy!

Lots to be happy about today!

1. Took a morning coffee with [MENTION=8715]miromurr[/MENTION] that was in town with her adorable kids and sweet husband. It was really fun meating her!

2. My husband is coming here in less than an hour! Tomorrow he has a job interview and if he gets that job he's moving here! :heart:

3. My big sister and her boyfriend who both live far away from here are stopping by for a few hours since they're driving by on the way home from a visit to my mother. I haven't seen her and him in forever so I'm really looking forward to that!

4. When my sister and her boyfriend have left me and my husband are going to have a date! Dinner and a movie, such a long time since we did something like that.

In conclusion: yay! Good day! 😀

How did the interview go?
I'm HOME!!!! Was just at my job for 25 hours! Man do I get sick of THAT place.

But now I am free! And my hubby is making southern fried chicken. And once I eat I can work on my arts!

I've just brought tickets for a True Blood and a Supernatural convention 🙂

I've never been to a convention before, so I'm not exactly sure what to expect. I'm so excited!

Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette), Sam Trammell (Sam), Joe Manganiello (Alcide) plus one other guest TBA are going to be at the True Blood one. At the Supernatural one, Misha Collins (Castiel), Jim Beaver (Bobby), Richard Speight, Jr. (The Trickster), Traci Dinwiddie (Pamela) and two other guests TBA are going to be there.

This is gonna be so much fun 😀
