I did not think he was a vandal until recently. But yes, he is. Walls of building, etc is one thing.. but when he spray paints over a billboard that you paid thousands of dollars to use, and thousands of dollars to print the graphics for, only having to pay it a second time to reprint the graphics. Then add the labor costs to put it up the first time, take it down, put it up the second time. Yes, that is vandalism. It becomes vandalism when he attempts to eliminate or devalue what another has paid to say. You could argue he does the same with building, but with building he is not trying to cover a message, only promote his own.

Yeah... I pretty much do after hearing that you value consumerism messages over anyone elses 🙁 My mentor has disappointed me.

It's not vandalism, it's freedom of speech. Who is to say that what anyone else has to say is of equal or less importance. A wise man once said 'I do not agree with you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.' I'm fairly certain that this did not just cover people that have the money to put things in the public eye. Why does money mean you have the right to express yourself? And why do you place all your creative ideas in advertising something? Find another avenue to express yourself... People without any education have. They have found alleyways, and walls that are not on the highway and they don't care how many people see. Why do you?

It is freedom of speech; however, a fact that people often forgets that while you do have freedom of speech it does not absolve you from repercussions of that freedom. He would still be exercising his freedom of speech even if they billed him for the cost of repairs etc.
