Wanted to start a positive - life - accomplishments thread for all of you!

So anything- work, relationships, hobbies etc etc that you're excited for succeeding or at least happy to have tried- spread the joy! It doesn't have to be big 🙂

I'm mostly floating on a cloud since I've preformed 4 dermal-anchor piercings on one costumer flawlessly all by myself! (I'm an apprentice at the moment)

I can attach a photo if you're interested, but some are queasy with photos of fresh piercings so let me know!

I dunno, I just want to be more involved here plus some showing off for an ego boost 😉

Excellent thread idea! :)
This is the thread for me! I will stay here forever and make stuff up.

I finished two bachelor degrees this semester and I have aced most of my exams for the past two years. People keep being shocked that I am in my late rather than my early twenties. (Stay inside with your curtains shut and your skin will never crack.)

Vitamin D deficiency forever! Also way to go school-wise!!
A few people on here will remember I did a charity race last year, in which I ended up injuring my ankle quite badly (that's not the accomplishment! 😀), but as part of the race, which was a 10k 'wild' run, I conquered two of my biggest fears..... submerging my head under water and sliding head first down a massive slide. I have a massive fear of heights, of slides, of water in my face.... so sliding head first down a massive 50ft slide into a pool of water was a big deal. I almost chickened out but I'm glad I didn't. I just went for it. I also forced myself to submerge my head under water - a fear I've had since I was a child and fell into a swimming pool. In addition the water was muddy and filthy. I was covered in mud from head to toe!

They're not massive accomplishments to most people, but for me they were - and even though I injured my ankle really quite badly, I still carried on and hobbled over the finish line and I ended up raising money for a very worthy cause. So it was all worth the fear. I still can't believe I did it in all honesty! 😛

Never doing it again though! 😛😀

@WillowFromBuffy At your request 🙂

I'm so awful when it comes to take the final pics... I get so excited and rush it and get stuck with not so good pics :/

super cool! I'd tots let you pierce me :P
Looks like someone remembered to get in shape for the summer.

What are you talking about? There is nothing to suggest those piercings are fresh. I have never seen so unblemished skin in my life. Either you've overexposed the photo or you've done a very good job.

I love the design. I knew a girl who had one piercing above and one below the side of her mouth. I could stare at it forever.

a fear I've had since I was a child and fell into a swimming pool
I had a similar experience as I child. Fell off a floating mat into the sea and had to be lifted up. My heart rate still goes up when I am in deep water. Sometimes it is exciting. Sometimes it can be a little overwhelming.

Actually, she's laying down. She pretty much threatened me to post the laying down pics over the standing up ones 😉
And yes, I mercilessly edited the redness away, because the skin gets REAL red(You have to pinch it really hard when doing it)

Also it went down so smoothly and with barely any blood!(which is super rare cuz they usually bleed like a faucet)

A few years ago I got my belly button pierced and felt pretty happy with it. That's the only piercing besides my ears that I have.

I was actually super proud of my stage talk to the crowd at TST's last gig. I have a stutter and was dreading doing some intro talking. Didn't even hesitate once. Major booya moment.

I managed a sober loving for women and children. It was SO crazy. Imagine watching over 15 women (ages 17-34) who DON'T want to be there...they had the option of jail or sober living; so naturally, they chose sober living. The children were aged 3 months to 10 years old...and it was a mad house. Oh, those days of trying to drug test women who'd relapsed...I had to be in the bathroom with them, to make sure they didn't dilute their urine with bleach or something. And if they tested dirty, I was supposed to notify their parole officer...and they were evicted; with their children. It was heartbreaking, but I had no choice.

One girl had a small baby and a 4-year-old, and they ended up sleeping at a nearby park...then the cops took her away because she'd violated her parole by using meth. Her kids were given over to Child Protective Services.

There were fights, a lot of theft, and many visits from the police. One of the girls had a boyfriend who was PISSED because she'd been thrown out...so he showed up one night, threatening to burn the house down. Luckily, the cops showed up and dragged him away.

I can't believe I lasted for three months without slapping someone. But basically, I stayed for the children. It wasn't their fault that their mothers prioritised drugs over their kids. The entire experience was tragic and exhausting.

Good job! I also have a stutter, but I find talking to a crowd fairly easy, because I can pace myself. Intense group discussions is a different deal. That is when I have to concentrate.

I shaved my head. I've wanted to do it a long time, my mum screamed NOOOOOOOOOO when she saw it.

211gms of hair, posted off to Wigs4Kids. My second donation. The first one in 2015, I hacked my hair off with scissors myself... shaving it was cheaper than fixing a hack job and why dont men share the joy of the shower on a fresh shaved head?!?

I duno if the pic will work with the current board issues (also Im tech dumb)

Oh you do the thing that speech therapists actually tell you to do? Go slow and pace yourself? After all these years I should probably take that advice on. Most of the time I do disguise it well if I have trouble. There's a handful of words I'll avoid at all costs.

Go you Occa! Good work!

Pacing myself is the only thing that works. That or deep concentration. If I am in a group discussion, I sometimes do quick burst, then take a break to catch up. I do all the words now. I sorta have to. When you study linguistics you cannot shy away from too many syllables and tricky combinations of consonants. I don't think my newer friends are aware of my stutter. Still, it is always there. Making your life just a little bit harder 😛

Haha I would have screamed yaaaaaay! I would shave my head if I was able to (don't think my job would appreciate it), mainly for an easier life with no afro thick hair. And who cares, it'll grow back! Are you gonna grow it back or are you loving it too much? 😛

Im loving it! Haha. So easy. I seem to be able to grow 14-16 inches in 2 years, so might as well grow it out and shave it off again. Before I go too grey to donate. I think its already grown after this mornings cortisol spike!

See I worry about the cold heid problem but then you're in a better position, geographically haha. Well if I ever do I blame you for the inspiration 😉

Now @Blair can see why I set off the gaydars lol

It would be really funny to do it when your niece is still young, I wonder what she would think 😛 I had to make my special kissy noises for the rabbit to approach me haha.

@definition of insane has me bare head covered with a handmade crochet sock monkey hat. You could make your own cactus cap!

haha she would be freaked! At least you're donating your hair once it's gone :) I should grow mine out again first before considering a baldie
I made a video of Faith's head tilts.
I said that I would do it and I actually did it 😀

I consider this an accomplishment because video editing is not my strong suit...
