1) The attitude
2) The accent

4) The way he loves
5) The Fighting love the fact he's so impulsive loves to go all out with fists and fangs
6) The looks he can give that can make you melt
7) The Head tilt

I love EVERYTHING about Spike


I suppose if we want a debate 😉 What do you dislike about spike?

Not just dissing him all out either!

1)The way that even at his most pathetic, he still kinda kept the bad boy thing going.
2)The fact that, even when souless he 'reeked of humanity'- that he still had love and affection and most importantly passion... and he was so caring and gentle underneath the persona he built.
3) The way he oozes sex appeal
4) The way he looks like Billy Idol (sorry, the way he looked in Fool for Love when Billy Idol copied his look off him 🙂 haha)
5) That look he does... ooh *shivers*
6) The fact that he's completely an act first, think later kind of guy... I love impulsive!
7) The fact that he's so very scrumtious!

Dislikes...

8) That he's not real... although I'll take James Marsters in a pinch 😛

1) He's got bad boy appeal...even after he gets a soul.
2) He's got a soft side.
3) He's got great taste in music.
4) He wears awesome clothes.
5) He's poetic.

9) He's a rebel. Other vampires are just stupid.

And, most importantly...

10) He's HOT!

I really, really like that his character is so darn complex. I love that he can buy a Buffybot (ewww) and withstand torture for the sake of his lady love (awww) in the same episode and never behave in a way that is out-of-character. That is, without a doubt, my favorite thing about Spike. I also like his funny, snarky lines and the way J.M. rocks their delivery. He's a great actor. I'm really surprised he isn't lead actor on some show somewhere by now. I also like that even though he's dead, he stays in excellent shape.

Dislikes... I dislike the fact that Spike is overused. Also, I dislike the fact that he is currently hanging out with Illyria instead of with Angel. I miss the funny Spike/Angel interaction! I also dislike the fact that souled!Spike has never met up with Dru. I am dying for a souled!Spike/Dru confrontation.

He is also an excellent character (bought to life by an excellent actor) who helped make one dimentional demons so much more complex and interesting.

he just quirky! I love how he interacts with everyone as this coy individual whom is actually quite sensitive. He's witty, and even though he ia vampire he still has very "human" characteristics. He regrets decisions he makes to do the wrong thing. He loves like a human might and makes mistakes. He is just an awesome character! 🙂

I still appreciate Bangle more as a couple though 😛 but I did like spuffy too. and I have always liked spike!

 

[Joyce Summers]

Spike for me was always the superior vampire. Superior in the sense of he's just nicer. I mean, yeah okay evil and soulless (in the beginning) but he was still such a caring sweetie. Clearly remnants of who he was in life.

I mean many people seem to forget that he didn't have a soul in season 5 yet he falls in love (not lust) with Buffy, looks after and cares for Dawn, does bonding with Senior and Junior Summers whilst Middle (what is the title for the middle one? Haha) Summers was out doing whatever it was Middle Summers was doing. And the flowers he has for Joyce, for Joyce's sake and not Buffy's in Forever....the sweetness there was overwhelming! And how he tries to help Dawn bring her back. Yes, it was the wrong thing to do but his motivations behind it were lovely. You know it was both wanting to help and ease Dawn's pain, but also the fact that he wanted her back also.
I think Spike is the only unsouled vampire that we see able to experience loss so genuinely and intensely.

He constantly plays up the Big Bad act but is a softie and a sweetie and a romantic at heart and I love him to bits for it.

What annoys me about him sometimes? His mouth. Some things he says will just be terrible and send his progress back five paces. Such as his 'I knew the only thing better than killing a Slayer would be-'. When those moments happen I'm always practically yelling at the screen 'Spike!:jawdrop: Stop talking. Now. Just stop'

Passsion, whatever he does, he jumps into with gusto. No mucking about. I love that.

When he's bad, he gets off on being bad, when he's good, he can be really good. He's in the moment, and doesn't make excuses for himself.

I also like how he always has that chewy center...reminding himself and others that he's evil, when he slips into sweetness. Adorable.

Season Five!, its like he got a tan!

I like everything about him. From the cheekbones, to the little tilt thing he does with his head, from his funniness to his extreme humanness (at times) and from the depths and layers of his character to how incredibly much JM likes to play him.
Though it annoys me a bit that he's not really British. It's just strange. I don't like American actors playing British and vice versa. But hey, no one is that perfect ^^

Oh my. I'm loving this post. There always seems to be quite a bit of Spike-hate going on around here...This is a refreshing change.

As I've said before, I think Spike is one of the best and most complex Buffyverse characters. While many (or most) of the amazing, memorable characters in the 'verse are much loved by me, Spike will always have a special place in my heart 🙂

I could go on for like, hours about how much I love JM's interpretation of Spike...but no one would want to read that lol Man, his little head tilts, his eyes, his smile, his accent, his wit, how he likes to mix blood with his Wheetabix for "texture", him naked, his heart, how he loves and protects Dawn even when he doesn't "have too", when he lays himself on the the cross, his humanity....

I'll just leave it at this:
