The houses Coat of Arms

I was just wondering who came up with the Coat of Arms(is that the right word) for each of the houses, they are very cool?

I went through and found real coats of arms that seemed appropriate.

Oh right, cuz I was just looking at them in the Sorting Tome, and I just realized how appropriate they were, and how cool looking!
