The Hulk

To be honest, I think this movie looks really lame, mainly because of that poorly done, computer generated Hulk. I doubt I'll go see. It's a shame too since it's an Ang Lee movie.

What is the deal with the whole, my father programmed me to be the Hulk pre-gamma radiation, thing? Doesn't sound like the Hulk story I remember!

"He's Mean, Green...and Slow? I hear execs at Universal are turning green this week after a not so incredible screening of Hulk. The studio's top brass was practically speechless. Apparently, director Ang Lee has turned in a melodramatic take on the comic book with an emphasis on drama--as in, really long and boring. Uh-oh. The suits concerns are way beyond the fanboy fears that the CGI big guy will look cheesy.

Still, isn't this what Lee promised from the get-go? He has always said Hulk would be an examination of our repressed selves and the release of unchecked rage--an emotion Bruce Banner expresses by turning into a 15-foot mighty green giant. I always expected the story to be a psychological journey--it's about the Hulk inside all of us. Still, one exec says, "It's like he combined The Ice Storm with Shrek." Yikes."

I'm actually looking forward to the next comic-book movie bomb. It provides more study material for dense hollywood directors and execs.. I'm not worried anymore about comic movies being considered high-risk - these movies are here to stay now. But it is still pretty obvious that producers aren't entirely sure what makes them a big hit, and what makes them a big flop.

Personally I don't think it's that complicated - merely a matter of bringing the comic as it is to the screen and playing on the facet of the comic that captured the imagination. Hollywood hasn't picked up on it yet though. It might take them a while to realize that attempts to make the story better than it was, usually just make it worse.

I will see it, kinda looking forward to it. , heck I payed my money for Matrix reloaded so I doubt the Hulk could be any worse.
Here's hoping for a She-Hulk movie, I can just imagine the casting possiblilities.

I dunno, they never aired it when I was a kid, so I don't know it all that much, I only saw one ep, when I was older ... so I dunno, however, if and when I have time left and I get bored, god, who knows I might, on the other hand Charlie's Angels 2 and Freddy vs. Jason :s

why the hell did they replace bill murray with bernie mac for charlie's angels 2!? it looks kinda foreign now...

I think it was a cheap attempt to make the movie multi-cultural when it wasn't much before...the movie looks wack. I know I'll probably be unpopular for saying this, but it just looks like a T&A movie to me.

hell yes its a t&a movie...every summer needs one...this maybe the best t&a movie for a pg-13 flick....

lucy lui...man..she's pretty hot in charlie's angels...drew barrymore dont look too bad either...
