Yes it is. It's very personal to all of us trying to put this thing together. You took absolutely no time or effort to understand what the point was, you just attacked it.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...are we just expected to love every idea that you guys come up with? I have no problem with this thread/idea, I find it humorous. However, isn't criticism good? I've made a lot of horrid films and I've written a lot of crap stories and I really appreciate it when my friends, family, and classmates critique my work. I don't see it as a personal attack.

Cast No Shadow and the others who seemed confused did ask about the purpose of this in a nice way, I didn't see it as an attack. I thought the purpose of that thread that you started last night...about thinking about why someone says something that may come off as rude and hurtful online, was supposed to avoid this stuff. They were confused, they didn't get it, they were looking for an explanation. Isn't that okay? I'm not trying to offend anyone, at all. It can be so frustrating when someone isn't thrilled about an idea you've come up with, trust me I know. But the purpose of this week (which was an awesome idea) is to keep calm and be nice 🙂 Also...if I have a problem with an idea you guys come up with one day, I want to make sure that I don't horribly offend any of you by disagreeing with it or something. Although it takes a lot to upset me, so I'm sure that won't happen.

If this issue has already been resolved and I'm just making this whole thing worse...feel free to delete this 😀

Okay, so for the last time. Not every thread needs to be turned into a battle. Take this as a bit of fun as it was intended.

This isn't a thread where opinions about the topic were necessary or useful. Or asked for. Once it was clear what was going on, leaving continued comments about it in posts and karma to me were just uncalled for and very rude to Black Eye Guy especially who was just trying to make a cute little thread.

There is a time and place for criticism, and a way to give it. Having to get an opinion in on a thread like this one was just rude towards the people who spent a lot of time trying to make this event interesting. If you don't want to participate in this week, then don't, but don't ruin things for everyone else just to create negativity and arguments about things that don't matter.

Now, either people see this as just a bit of fun, where you might learn something, or we'll scrap this whole thing right here and now. But everything that a staff member posts does not need to become a debate and doing so is just plain rude and a slap in their faces.

The phrase "this is why we can't have nice things" comes to mind.

And that is the end of this discussion.
