The I Love James Thread

I noticed the thread about Spike's hair was getting off topic with stuff about loving James... and I want to explore this topic because I love him more than any of you know so I figured I'd do this.

Sometimes, I think about James and I start to cry because my love for him overflows. And sometimes I have to scream into my pillow... When I don't want to go to class and get up in the morning, I often go through a crazy never gonna happen scenario where James is at my school and I meet him because I went to class. It's crazy, I know... but it motivates me to go to class... Whenever I have a really bad day, I think about him. I'm constantly spouting random facts about him that no one cares about... like in English yesterday, someone said something about Apocalypse Now and my mind didn't go to Restless first... it went to "That's James Marsters' favorite movie!!!" I said that and everyone looked at me like I was crazy... My friends are so tired of hearing about him...

My favorite thing about James would have to be how kind he is. To everyone... he's a good guy. And he cares about people. He walks the line between intellectual and emotional being perfectly. It's nice to have that kind of example in my life. And his looks aren't too shabby either... haha
 
I love James.

Oh I'm all about Spike/James. I remember the first episode l ever saw of Buffy was Blood Ties and it was okay, but then the second episode I ever watched was After Life. That's when I fell in love with Spike and I haven't looked back 😀

I watched it in order and I fell in love with Spike when we first saw him in School Hard. He became my favorite character when he said "Home sweet home" and he never stopped. 😀

Seeing how heartfelt Spike was in After Life is what really compelled me to buy the DVDs and watch from the beginning.

You can imagine my dismay when there was no Spike is season 1.

Angel was amazing tho so my lack-of-Spike sadness was oppressed until School Hard finally came around.
 
Awww, I love Spike/James! I remember watching Buffy when I was a wee lass and that I didn't quite like Spike at first. For some reason, I liked Angel... wow. What was I thinking? Then when I did a proper re-watch about a year ago, I realized the errors of my way. Or however that phrase goes....

The man has cheekbones that could cut cheese for crying out loud, people! D'ya hear me? CHEESE!!!
 
James, he makes me smile. He is one of the things that gets me through the day when I'm feeling lonely or bored. I think of him, or Zoe, or Jane, or just Buffy-Boards in general and my mood is suddenly heightened. But James is amazing. He is so talented and how can you not fall in love with Spike? I did from my very first episode which was 'Once More, With Feeling'. He was what compelled me to watch it. I used to talk about him with my friend Alex and she told me that he doesn't come into the show until Season 2 and then he doesn't come back fully until season four...I cried. And then when he appeared in School Hard, I was cheering and jumping up and down.

I adore this man, James. His music is so amazing, his voice is epic and he is the nicest person ever. He just gets along so well with people. And he's so cute the way he gets so over-excited when he's saying something that he's said at about ten other conventions. <3<3<3<3<3

I'm very much in love with him, but I always wonder if it's love (I don't even know him!) or a crush (like a teenager). probably the second one. Because I always really hate his new wife. Might be jealousy, but I'm just really worried about him. What with all the things I hear about her that she's very jealous, her and James fight ofter, and he didn't even want to get married about. All rumors, some I heard here. But I have to say that I don't trust her with him. Not just because of me and my jealousy, I really want him to be happy, and I don't think she's the woman for him.

I just have to add, that as a teenager I've never had a crush on someone else. James is the only one.
 
I don't share the James / Spike love but I do love reading everyone's enthusiasm. It's nice to know I'm not alone in having a raging crush on a BtVS cast member. Raging crushes are LOTS of fun. 🙂

Where have you heard any of that?? When he talks about her at conventions, he lights up. It's almost like he can't talk about her and not smile. As for the jealousy issue... James has pointed out at several conventions I've seen on youtube that those conventions are a place to be jealous. He says if his wife was paying money to go meet someone his wife admired as much as some of those women admire him, he'd go with her so he could punch the guy in the face. And he's surprised he doesn't get punched in the face a lot over it. I'm sure if Patrica's jealous... it's because it would be hard not to be. I mean you're admitting right now to have a crush on him although you've not met him... there are lots of girls like you all over the world. I'd be freaking jealous as hell if I were her.

I don't know what they're life is like together, but they've been dating, mostly long distance if I'm not mistaken, for a long time. He looks happy, so happy, when he talks or sings about her... I see no reason to not trust them together.

That's a very understanding viewpoint. It has to be hard for any spouse of someone with a huge fan base, knowing that their spouse's fans want, deep down, to ravage him. 🙂 For me, when I like an actor, I generally also like his wife, because I like the thought of the person I care about (very much from afar) being happy.
 
Spike isn't my favorite character from the shows, but I do love James. Anytime I've ever seen him in interviews and things he is always so funny and sweet. 🙂

Ever since I read that quote I honestly think about things so differently. The way people recognize patterns and such for both good and bad, it's crazy true.
 
I love the one on his Q&A on his website from February about art. When I read it on the bus, I legit cried.

Q: You have told your fans to be kind to one another, that we are all human beings, and we all want to feel connected. What makes you feel connected to humanity, besides acting and what motivates you to be kind to others?

A: Political rallies and any art. I think the function of art, more than any other, is to remind us that we are not alone. He's coming to a pop culture expo in Sydney in May, but as much as I really really want to, I don't think I'll go 'cause I just forked out $150 on a Supernatural convention. I'll just have to go to America one day and follow him from convention to convention being a creepy stalker fangirl who's much much too young for him. 😀

Wouldn't that be awesome?! If you had enough money to follow him from convention to convention? God I would do that and have a blast. I'd be like the JM version of a Dead Head. Win.

They're people who followed The Grateful Dead when they were on tour. They spent like the whole year following The Dead from city to city, show to show.

There are some Marsters' fans who follow him from convention to concert to convention. I have nooo idea how they afford it, but you always see the same people in the pics.
