Over the course of Angel, we have seen various characters perform karaoke. I think it's safe to say Joss has a "thing" for the pastime (or maybe just watching his actors make fools of themselves up there.)

So, my question is; have you ever done karaoke? If so, which song(s) did you choose? Did you have fun, and were you any good? Or were you just embarrassed?

EDIT: I know Darla sang a song at Caritas as well, but I couldn't find a video.

And Harmony, and Fred's "Crazy" too. :)

I love Petty-Twelve-Year-Old Angel during Lindsey's dong :D
I've done karaoke three times now and had to be a little drunk each time. Song selection is aways so limited, it can be a little infuriating for a music nut like myself. First time I did "Behind Blue Eyes" by the Who and I was all right. Next time I did "Sweet Jane" by Lou Reed but I was more used to the Velvet Underground version of the song and I guess Lou solo did it a little differently. It definitely threw me off. I was pretty bad. Final time was "Revolution" by the Beatles, but I did that one with a couple other people. We weren't too bad, I don't think.

I like karaoke. For what people say, I sing very well. (sw) And the best song that I can sing is "All the Love in the World" by The Corrs. 🙂

And of course, I have fun, but I don't like the feeling that people are looking at me. So I prefer private room with only my family.

Great song! The Corrs are wonderful. :)
Well I was told mime in the school choir so that should put into perspective my vocal abilities 😉

I have "sang" Karaoke alot though at parties or with one friend especially, for some reason he always gets us singing.

It's always weird, random songs that I end up with. Off the top of my head there's Rock DJ by Robbie Williams, Walking in Memphis, My Lovely Horse from Father Ted 😀 Oh! and the holy mortifying shame of Nothin but a G Thang.

I LOVE Rock DJ! Robbie Williams is awesome. :D
I love karaoke, or to be more specific, I've mostly only done sing along/star on TV/Computer game thingy, but I need the whole room to be with me or else I can't get into it.

As seen in my status I don't sing. 😉 And believe me that's a good thing. But one year I did sing karaoke but we were like 15 people at once and me being the one being most sober no one really noticed me. It was a swedish song, Vingar by Mickael Rickfors, which you can half shout your way through so it worked pretty well. It'll take a lot to get me to sing on my own in front of people.

I sing a lot of kareoke/sing-star/down the street at 2am.

BYOB - System of a Down
What's up - 4 non blondes
Peice of me - Britney Spears

etc

I LOVE to sing, and I love karaoke. 🙂 When I graduated high school, I went to college on a vocal scholarship and was convinced I was going to be a famous singer one day, 'cause that was my dream. Unfortunately, my dream didn't pan out and life has taken me in a different direction, so karaoke is about the only way I get to perform anymore.
I usually sing songs by The Dixie Chicks, Kelly Clarkson, or Paramore. The one I get requested a lot when I sing is "Decode" by Paramore.

A few weekends ago, one of my co-workers turned 21 and insisted we go do karokee. So, we went to this classy/high-end/over-priced bar that jsut totally wasn't my scene, and I felt really out of place. We sang "I'm a Slave 4 U" by Britney Spears and yes, we were terrible, and not in a good way. She got really drunk, puked all over my car, and I had to drag her into her apartment. Is this a sign? Perhaps karokee isn't for me.

Kelly's songs are great for karokee. Once, my friend Taylor and I sang "Since U Been Gone." It was epic.

LMFAO@the mental image of all your drunkies singing Britney Spears. 😀
I usually sing "Low" or "Miss Independent" when I do Kelly. 😀

I <3 Low!
I love singing. I singed along songs since I was 9-10 or so. I don't think i'm that good but my friends tell me I should try some singing lessons to decide if this should be my way =/

I've sang karaoke before, and like Revolver said, there isn't that many choices. Whenever I know a song, it's much much easier to sing at the right tune and everything. Best song for me as far as I know is My Immortal by Evanescence and Twist and Shout by the Beatles :lmao: Sadly there isn't really any rock songs I like outside of 2 or 3 on these karaoke games.

As for karaoke on the shows. Angel is funny as hell singing Mandy. Lindsey was really good!

I have this weird thing about performing in public. I don't like it.

I had a solo in the school play when I was eleven, and it was fine, all grand, didn't forget my words, people clapped, but I hated every second of it. I don't like being in the spotlight, I don't like all that attention. So I tend to avoid karaoke like the plague, it's just not for me.

Wasn't there a BB competition a while back where members posted videos of themselves singing songs from "Once More With Feeling"? It seems like I remember something like that going on...

For me, performing was the reverse for me. I used to be a shy person who wouldn't talk much and was perceived as really quiet, but as soon as I got a mic in my hand, it was like something was unleashed in me... Performing helped me come out of my shell a lot. 😀

That'd be fun! I'd probably do it haha! Can't do worse than Willow eh? :lmao::lmao: J/K's

Oh, I am SO the opposite. I'm loud, obnoxious, I tend to hold the conversations when I'm with a group, but ask me to sing or perform, it's like someone steals my voice. It's not pretty, lol.

Ditto. Also, I tend to spend all day going around singing some song under my breath or just along to a radio but as soon as a sing song is started I become mute! I absolutely die if I am called upon during a session to give a song lol

Totally the same thing!!
Karaoke is evil and probably the worst thing ever invented.
I have never and will never ever sing karaoke.

Even worse are people that can't take a no as an answer.
If I say that I won't do it I won't, no matter how drunk I get.
