Hated how this episode ended, Amy deserved some type of THRASHING for that hex she placed on Willow.

Plus the whole thing with the Scoobies suspecting Giles being The First..Huh?

It's bit fuzzy for me, but didn't that Watcher who "called" die from his wounds? :drunk:

If Willow would have wanted to get back at Amy, it would have had her working her mojo again.

The gang heard over the phone that Giles was dead and they had no clue where he was. And when he came to the house, they noticed that he didn't touch anything and he was there for a very short time. That gave them a good reason to make them think that it wasn't the real Giles.

I confused. How did Giles and the Potentials went to that desert? Did Giles drive? If so, I don't think The First can drive and they should have figured it out that he's not The First.

^ I think the girls probably took turns driving. They were all (I believe, with the exception of maybe Amanda) old enough to drive. But, regardless, it doesn't matter how they got there, since the Scoobies did not SEE how they got there. They wouldn't have known if Giles had driven, and therefore it couldn't be used as evidence either way.

But yeah, Amy is horrid and Anthony Head took special care not to touch anything in the episodes before this (it's actually funny re-watching it...Buffy goes to hug him but someone cuts her off, he has people get books and look things up for him, etc) and that's why they thought he could be the first.

The Watcher who called had not died from his wounds. He was semi-conscious and saw a Bringer about to lob Giles' head off (the last thing the audience saw too, actually) before passing out. When he came to, Giles was gone and he assumed he was dead, so he reported as much to the Scoobies.

That's so true. And also, Buffy's gonna hug him scene too. :)
I always thought Amy needed some kinda smack-down for doing that to Willow...

... but then again, I was hoping that AMY would have been Willow's new love interest after Tara... but noooooo, we got "Kennedy" instead. (~vile puking sounds~) I like the idea of Willow being witchy with another witch, ya know?

Hmmm, Amy and Willow could have been cool if not for the fact that Amy turned evil. :(
The girls took turns driving; remember there was a fight and one of them (Molly, I think) ended up in the trunk? And Buffy teased Giles about not renewing his CA driver's license?

Gah, really? Meh myself because I don't understand what they're talking about. My bad English + bad ears. :P

Ahhh, I had forgotten all about that! :P

Hmm, Amy or Kennedy? *thinks*. Nope, don't see a real difference there. In fact I think I liked Amy even less than Kennedy. Aside from the one episode with her mom, I found Amy extremely annoying. Not saying that Kennedy wasn't at times, but I didn't really get know her as well as I did Amy. Also, I liked the idea of Willow dating a slayer. I have always felt that Willow had a little bit of a crush on Buffy at times.

As far as Giles being the first, I actually found it pretty amusing. Especially when the gang tackled him in the desert, I was laughing so hard. I didn't really believe that Giles was the first.

Well, Willow did magically throw Amy across the room (if I recall correctly). Maybe Willow thought that was enough, since she was more concerned about keeping Kennedy safe than exacting revenge upon Amy.
But as we see in Season 8, perhaps Willow should have exacted some revenge upon Amy, at least enough to keep her incapacitated and unable to use magic (i.e. extra-strong binding spell, or, better yet, turn her into a rat). As it happens, Amy gets trapped by Sunnydale's destruction yet miraculously survives all of the falling debris and stays alive by--presumably--feeding off any organic sustenance she can find. And then she tries to kill Buffy, with Warren's help. If Amy didn't repent after avoiding death in such a matter, why would she have repented if Willow beat the crap out of her?
So, I don't know if it would have done any good if Willow had laid the smack down, other than provide Willow with some temporary stress relief. Otherwise, Willow would have had to kill Amy to achieve any true revenge, but the whole point of the episode (and of her part in the season) was that Willow felt anguish over killing Warren and didn't want to be seen as a killer. Thus, she had no desire to kill anyone else.

LOL Good point!! 🙂 But then we would have missed the funny scene where they're all touching and he says one of my favorite lines: "Let me get this straight: you think I'm evil if I take a group of teenage girls on a camping trip and I DON'T touch them?" LMAO

I definitely think Amy should have gotten a taste of Dark Willow. Even though Willow would have been dipping back into the power she was so afraid of, she should have given Amy a taste of her own medicine... Like maybe locking her ass up in that trophy with her mom.

I always thought the obvious way to see him not as the first would be Giles driving. None of the girls looked like they'd be driving a car to a place they never had been to.

No, that was Amy throwing Kennedy across the room. Willow was already gone by then. Kennedy caught Amy up in her lies and started to jump her when she realized Amy was behind Willow's transformation. Personally, I'd like to see Amy's powers drained and turn Kennedy loose on her...

Maps? Directions from Giles?

If I recall correctly, I believe all the girls were arguing about who got to drive which would imply that they did they driving themselves. And if I were Giles I wouldn't be challenging some angry, hormonal girls with superpowers!

Also I think the gang had reason to suspect Giles as the first, and watching the episode the first time, I myself was a little concerned about it!

But he left the house, and none of the Scoobies saw whether he drove or not. So it didn't matter either way.

And, anyways, I've driven to plenty of places I've never been to. It's not a big deal, given a map or some directions.

Mjeh....*shrug*..........

At first I freaked out when she turned into Warren!I never saw that coming. But I felt sorry for her cause she felt like betraying Tara when she kissed Kennedy.

Will I be mean if I say that start hating Kennedy and possibly all the potentials-Amanda excluded for the present- with their whole attitude thing?

What I get from the s7 episodes I have watched is that the Potentials like to defy Buffy but they forgot who the real powerful one. Who the real smart is. Who saved the world.
