Can anyone give me any info of the movie Eliza stars in, "The Kiss"...

Down here in Australia the information i pretty low.

Has it been released to DVD?

The Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com) only has a September 14, 2003 release date mentioned, which is when it was screened at the Boston Film Festival.

It has not been released on video or dvd yet either. I'm guessing it hasn't found a distribution deal yet.

If you click the link that says films, then on the one for The Kiss (it's a picture of the Eiffel Tower in Paris) it will take you to a page in which Bechard explains how the movie was re-edited after he turned it in.

Unfortunately, it says nothing about release dates or distribution. I'll keep an eye out and let you know if I find out anything more.

ajdarcy, I found the Boston Film Festival website and they actually had the producer's email adress listed, so I just sent him a note asking if he knew if and when the film would see distribution. If he emails me back, I'll post the info here.

The Kiss is a romatic comedy. Eliza has a supporting role as the lead character's roommate. The story is about this book editor who finds this manuscript and tries to find the person who wrote it.

Eliza's character is Megan, who's a bartender and her sort-of boyfriend in the film is played by Charlie Weber (Ben from Buffy).

Regarding all the edits and whatnot, there's been a lot posted about that on Fanhost. Gorman's all pissed off and says it's ruined Eliza's performance. Someone else said that Gorman's an idiot and what he shot was garbage. I don't know who's right, but at this point, I don't think the film is ever going to come to theaters and might not even be released on DVD.

Any time there's this much bickering between the director and producer it's never good for a film.
