OMG i have just seen The Last Samurai and that film is soooo awesome!! 😀 It wasnt quite what i expected it to be.. i think that it was better. what do you think of it??

It was a great movie, great music, great story, great acting, great make-up, great dressing, great locations ... one would think I loved it!

I loved it although I didnt expect too, it make me sad that the samurai who gave up their entire lives to train and become skilled fighters can get mowed down by inexperienced soldiers just cos they have a big old gun. Was pretty gruesome in parts with the blood and slicing etc

I saw the movie this weekend. It was good and sad and overall I liked it. It was different than I expected, and frankly I didn't think Tom could pull off the roll, but he was better than I thought. I liked how the movie started with Katsumoto's vision of the white tiger that prelimed his meeting with Tom's character. And I thought Katsumoto's son looked familiar, is he famous or been in other movies recently? I can't place him. I also love the fact that is touched on the history of 2 of my favorite cultures in one movie, you don't see people mixing Native American and Japanese history much.
Anyways, I'd recommend this move, it's worth seeing.

Honestly, a high contender for a spot amongst my favourite films. I have never felt so emotionally charged, the fact that their whole existence had been dedicated solely to the protection and service of Japan and was destroyed by 'guns' and 'modern technology' showed me that trust is easily broken but traditions are meant to be kept.

I loved it, I thought Tom Cruise did his finest work, the cinematography, the music, the fight scenes - spectacular.

If it were to be compared with RotK, as much as I fear to say it, It was better. Faramir charging to his death - sad, Tom Cruise and the Samuarais charging to theirs - ... I needed a whole box of tissues, I have never cried so much in a battle scene -ever-.

So yes, It was awesome, and I would love to see it again.

At first i didnt think that Tom Cruise would really be that good in this film either but i thought that he was great!

I LOVE The Last Samurai...it is brilliant and tom cruise is awesome in it 😀

I loved the film. It was just so beautiful: the scenery (as a friend of mine said: I never knew Japan was that beautiful!), the music, the story, the choreography of the fight scenes... And it was very touching. I was absolutely thrilled. I never could take my eyes off the screen nor even think of anything until the film was ended. It was absolutely fantastic!!!

I need to get the DVD as soon as it's out!
