The Light burns out after 72 years

Noooooo!!!

That puts my beloved General Hospital in danger.

I am very upset. I love soap operas. I don't want them to go away!
 
It doesn't just put GH in danger.

EVERY soap, potentially, is now in danger of going nighty-night-even the one I watch when I get the chance, One Life to Live. (However, I think there's still a place for them and there always will be.)

I say we boycott CBS -- even primetime. Give the other networks a reason to fear our wrath.
 
I don't watch soap operas, but I agree that you should boycott CBS, mainly because I think it's the highest rated network and the only one of the four major networks that I don't watch a single program on. Every other network is better, so screw you CBS!
 
I never watch soaps, but I think I got to see CBS's entire daytime lineup in the eye doctor's waiting room yesterday.

(The girl who plays Amber on "The Young and the Restless" is gorgeous, though... I could tell that even with my pupils dilated.)

Rumor has it Proctor & Gamble is considering moving "The Guiding Light" to cable.
