The Loa in "Loyalty"

According to what I've read about Vodoun (popularly known as Voodoo), a loa could the spirit of a family member; the spirit of a major force of the universe--good, evil, reproduction, health, all aspects of daily life.

So, if a loa is basically a spirit, what was the name of the spirit that Wes had spoken with in "Loyalty"?

A Loa is not only a "spirit", it is closer to a God. The Loa that Wes summoned is called Papa Legba, the keeper of gateways and watcher of crossroads. Legba is the link between the spiritual world and the mundane world in Vodoun, but I've also seen him many times related to death and destruction.

If you listen to the hamburger, he actually says his name at one point. 🙂
