A husband and wife's game night plunges them into a vortex of madness and destruction.
STORY AND CONCEPT

The Lord of Catan stars Amy Acker (Angel, Much Ado About Nothing) and Fran Kranz (Cabin in the Woods, Dollhouse) as Krysta and Todd, a young married couple who find themselves thrust into an apocalyptic rivalry over a game of Settlers of Catan.
SETTLERS OF WHAT?

The Lord of Catan is designed to be accessible to anyone, regardless of their knowledge of the game. The dynamics between husband and wife, the unity and discord of competition, and the domestic tensions from their marriage that are forced out into the open will be familiar to anyone, regardless of your familiarity with the game.

Also there are penis jokes.

The trailer looks funny, I also like Amy and Fran enough to know they could hold this on their own

Might go for the digital download one

Tried to post the link, but couldn't since we're new here and haven't yet made 15 posts... If you go to our Twitter page, the link to our video is in our most recent tweet!
We're Nerdlyweds on Twitter and Facebook too, so find it/us there! 🙂

That looks awesome! I love Any Acker and Fran Kranz. I'm going to preorder it for sure!

Mind you, it's a short film, only 13 mins. But the digital download might be worth it. I don't see how you could go wrong with these two actors and such an absurdly hilarious plot.

Yea i saw, im still going to get it. It looks funny and i love them both. So its worth it for me.

On a similar note, does anyone here watch Person of Interest? Is it any good? I'm willing to give it a try just for more Acker.

It's not bad. Not Buffy standard but ok. There's a decent story in there, definitely. As for Amy Acker, she's not majorly involved 'til series 3 (I'd recommend trying to catch up anyway, even if she is your only motivation for watching) but she's very good all the way through. Classic Acker performances, at times, reminiscent of Illyria and crazy Whiskey from Dollhouse.

I tried to watch Person of Interest, but I don't watch TV that much, so it takes a lot for me to actually sit and watch a show... it took me 10 years to get to Buffy, for example. I want to, though. Amy has been good in what I've seen.

This is amazing because I'm obsessed with the board game, so I've seen games get super intense. I really want to see it.
