In Tabula Rasa, Anya says she and Giles own the store together.

Do you think Anya bought into the store post Buffy's death or Giles just signed her up as a partner so she could run it while he was in England? Why didn't he completely sell it to her if he didn't think he'd be returning?

Buying into the store is certainly plausible; I Was Made to Love You revealed Anya was making a killing trading shares.

I thought maybe there was some kind of working rights visa or something that Giles wanted to keep, but then I remembered that he was unemployed in s4 so that doesn't work.

Considering how good Anya seems to be with money, it would make sense to partner with her. I would!
