the Matrix Revolutions (may contain spoilers)

oh i really liked this one! i saw it this past wendsday... and it was so... WOOOW

my boyfriend had a theory about this film that makes it even better
 
saw it last sun- it was great but the ending left me unfulfilled- does anyone actually know what happened to neo cos i wasn't too sure.

I spent the whole zion scene with my hand over my mouth- not knowing what would happen as i heard that everyone died. i uttered a few obscenities under my breath. and i cried like a baby when... those who've seen it will probably know when- but i don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it.

all in all- was pretty good, cept yet again, there's a zillion things i don't quite get and will have to wait til it comes out on vid to understand properly.
 
It was brilliant. It's hard for me to say which one I liked better...because they truly are all the same movie. My complaint with people's negative feedback is that everyone is expecting something new...why? It's The Matrix. A trilogy of movies don't throw in completely different stuff. It would be a different movie then. The final fight with Smith was complete awesomeness! The cinemetography of it, was very well done. I was just disappointed that they had to throw in some computer generated parts. But other than that, it was a NEW fight scene. Lot's of different stuff. Keep in mind, this is The Matrix still. When there is slow mo fight scenes, and slowed down bullets...they are not rehashing old ideas...

The ending was fit, I think. Trin biting the dust. I kinda knew it would happen. Just cause I knew one of the three heroes would have to die. All the questions were answered. If you still think they werent...then you missed it. The Oracle pretty much summed everything up. But a lot of stuff was hidden, that you had to decipher. Me and my friend did so. Agent Smith finally died because he took over Neo's body...while Neo was hooked to the big boss of the machine world. When he did so, you could see all that energy being pumped in Neo, to destroy Smith. I am seeing this again sometime next week, to catch things I missed.

Unfortunately, the Wachowski Bros. have stated that they will NOT make any more Matrix movies. I don't know if we could handle them though. I would love to see something in the future though. A spin-off maybe. Who knows.

Me, me! I luved the third one. I luved the first and second as well. If I had three arms I would raise three fists of fun for the trilogy!

if you can gather from that what i thought of the movie (i was trying to be as spoilerless as possible) then you deserve 2 gold stars!

ps.does anyone else HATE neo's coat? i hate high necks and the coat looks like a dress half the time!

i thought the movie was very good, a bit slow at the beginning, but then i got into it 🙂 but i think maybe 3 movies were to much because the first was so amazing, it would be hard to match it storyline-wise, the visuals were great though 🙂
 
What is it with everyone wanting everything wrapped up in a neat little package? Don't you have imaginations of your own? Must you have everything handed to you on a plate?

I though one of the major strengths to Revolutions was the fact that they didn't try to answer all the questions or wrap everything up.

To answer your points.........
[1]It is all about balance, Neo only gained his ability to affect things in the real world after Smith had downloaded himself into the real world, they balance each other out.
[2]Two programs [the Indian Couple] sold the termination code to the Oracles shell to the Merovingian in return for allowing their child to hide in the matrix. She knew this was going to happen, and allowed it so that the child could survive.
[3]Smith uploading himself is self explanitory, he now controls that body, so why shouldn't he be able to leave the matrix as easily as a person who is freed can?

It didn't almost kill him, it caused his conciousness to be redirected into a waiting area.
The machine city was not in the Matrix, it existed on the planets surface. The city is called '01', and is the same as the city portrayed in the Animatrix episodes 'Second Rennaisance 1&2', it is simply a case of piloting a ship there without being destroyed.

The Matrix is a cross-media package; watch the films, play the game, watch the Animatrix, use your imagination and don't expect all the answers on a plate, use your brains people.

yeah my BF thinks that neo is the second comming.. like the second christ! that is why he could do soes things inside and out side of the matrix!!
you know the oracles protector; saraph.. well a saraph is the highes hierarchy(i think that's what it's called...) of angels.. which can explai the name..
i think this theory makes the last movie better, cos at first i didn't acually think it was that good only medium, but now, it's a biyt above! LOL

you know when the oraclessaid to sati that neo prob would come again or something like that(well... i think she said something like that!) it's cos he's the second comming!

Xander_Lover: yeah i know what you mean about unfufilling.. i liked it just fuine, but i was expecting them to destroy the macin world, and all we got was a truse.. all worlds where just "safe", and that smith get's on my nervs,. i hate that he was undeafeetable! but i'm glad the triology is over!.. (that way they can't mess it up more! and it is what it is...) but i did like it more when my sweety told me his theory!


i guess i see why they made the films like they did!
 
ok, I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not(don't have enough time to read it all through) but here's my theory on smith:
OK, if I remember right, the Oracle told Neo that Smith was "created" to balance the equation. Meaning, someone has to be there to deflect Neo. Because Neo is good, they needed someone w/ Neo's abilities to be evil, hence smith. So really, Smith is kinda Neo's bad side. if that makes any sense what-so-ever. and I felt the part with Trin dying was utterly depressing. She didn't need to die, I expected Neo and Smith's deaths, but Trinity's was a total shock.
But anywho, I felt Revolutions was a good ending the the trilogy(and they even left room for a fourth, but I hope they don't ruin a good ending by making it) In my opinion, Reloaded is what ruined the series, it was slow and the plot line wasn't really there, it was more action(don't get me wrong, I loved the fight scene's expecially the freeway scene) But I felt they could have ended it or wrote it better.
