we all know that Drusilla's weakened condition in the first half of the season was because she was attacked by a mob in Prague, but does anyone know when this was supposed to have happened? how long before their arrival in Sunnydale?
 
I got the impression from somewhere that it was a bit less than a year before they came to Sunnydale, but I can't remember if it was from the show or somebody just talking about it.
 
Have to agree with white avenger...otherwise wouldn't they have found some way to strengthen her sooner? Who knows?

I think it would be interesting to know what the mob actually did to her for her to be in such a weakened state.
 
If you read the comics (which are considered canonical), it shows that Drusilla was tortured with spikes. She was sat in a chair, and wooden spikes were pushed through her body, staying clear of her heart so she would be in unbearable pain for all eternity.

Those Prague folk are mighty clever.

But Spike came and saved the day. Or spoiled the saving of the day, considering on perspective.
 
check out Tales of the Vampires for the whole story. Well worth a read, its an excellent comic
 
Considering the clothes they were shown to wear in the TV series, it would have had to have been at least a hundred years before Dru's arrival in Sunnydale.
