I like the first two, they're brilliant, but Spike was just... Well, at least it was amusing. Usually I like when Spike's full of himself, but I don't know, it just rubs me the wrong way. Depends which part you mean of course.
This is a early draft of the Passion dialouge:
"Passion, it is born, and though uninvited, unwelcome, unwanted like a cancer, it takes root. It festers. It bleeds. It scabs only to rupture, and bleed anew. It grows, it thrives until it consumes. It lives so, it must die in time. Passion, it drives some to distraction, some to despair, some to vengeance. It drives some to murder and others to madness. Passion is the source of hope and the cause of despair. It is the source of life and the cause of death."
Here's the aired version:
"Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping... ...waiting... And though unwanted... ...unbidden... it will stir...open its jaws, and howl. It speaks to us... guides us... Passion rules us all. And we obey. What other choice do we have?
Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love... the clarity of hatred... and the ecstasy of grief.
It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank... Without passion, we'd be truly dead."

Spoilers for Angel season 2:
A monolouge I couldn't stand was Angel's in a Angel season 2 episode. The one where he Angel sounds so tries to get ready to fight Darla and Drusilla. He's so... Full of himself doesn't even cover it. It was just so melodramatic

Oh, that blog raises an interesting question. The blogger says that the original speech rings more true of Angelus than what was aired, especially the line about the "joy of love". Do you think perhaps that the narration was actually by Angel, rather than Angelus? It certainly is appropriately illustrative of Angel.
Xander in Into the Woods, I'm referring to the one to Anya not the one to Buffy.
"I've gotta say something... 'Cause ... I don't think I've made it clear. I'm in love with you. Powerfully, painfully in love. The things you do ... the way you think ... the way you move ... I get excited every time I'm about to see you. You make me feel like I've never felt before in my life. Like a man. I just thought you might wanna know."
And do dreams count lol? Because I love Tara to Buffy in Restless.

Lyri- I get tired of season 7 speeches, but I do agree that the one in Bring on the Night was one of the better ones:
"I'm beyond tired. I'm beyond scared. I'm standing on the mouth of hell, and it is gonna swallow me whole. And it'll choke on me. We're not ready? They're not ready. They think we're gonna wait for the end to come, like we always do. I'm done waiting. They want an apocalypse? Oh, we'll give 'em one. Anyone else who wants to run, do it now. 'Cause we just became an army. We just declared war. From now on, we won't just face our worst fears, we will seek them out. We will find them, and cut out their hearts one by one, until The First shows itself for what it really is. And I'll kill it myself. There is only one thing on this earth more powerful than evil, and that's us. Any questions?"

Yes, I agree, but I do think that one is awesome. Especially considering she looks so beat up and exhausted, and to come out with something like that...just great.
I also like Buffy's speech to the Primative in 'Restless':
'I walk. I talk. I shop. I sneeze. I'm gonna be a fireman when the floods roll back. There are trees in the desert since you moved out and I don't sleep on a bed of bones. Now give me back my friends.'
I think it's a little depressing that I know that off by heart, lol.

Skytteflickan88 agrees: Why depressing? It's a great monolouge.
Yeah, the monologues are really beautiful and often some of the most emotional parts of the show. My favorites are Anya's in 'The Body', Buffy's in 'After Life' and Spike's in 'Beneath You'. And pretty much everything that comes out of Xander's mouth. 😛
I can't believe nobody's brought up the Chosen monologue!
That's gotta be my favorite.
"So here's the part where you make a choice."
I performed that in my Advanced Theater class a couple years back.
My audition monologue for production studio was the one Buffy said to the Council in Checkpoint, the one where she tells them they're going by her rules.
Cordelia: Harmony, shut up. Do you know what you are, Harmony? You're a sheep.
Harmony: I'm not a sheep.
Cordelia: You're a sheep. All you ever do is what everyone else does just so you can say you did it first. And here I am, scrambling for your approval, when I'm *way* cooler than you are 'cause I'm *not* a sheep. I do what I wanna do, and I wear what I wanna wear. And you know what? I'll date whoever the hell I wanna date. No matter how lame he is.
Also, Whistler's "it's what you do afterwards that matter" speech. The Passion speech is a bit pretentious, IMO.
My favorite 3 are from Angelus in Passion, Buffy putting the council in their place and the first's monologue to spike in the basement. When it started morphing into the big bads my mouth dropped and i'm thinking wtf is going on. Actually had they came back, season 7 would have been a lot more interesting.
There are so many awesome Monologues in the show my favorites have been listed but I'll say them anyway lol. I love Angelus' in Passion. Buffy in Bring on the Night. And I love the one Icarium quoted, Cordelia in "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered"
Aww and of course Anya's I really love that one.
If were counting Angel, I love his speech to Kate in Epiphany and I don't know if this counts but Faith at the end of Sanctuary to Buffy, I'm gonna count it lol 😛
