After seeing one of the questions we got 'wrong' even though we a) got it right by another prefects admission b) we answered the question as worded and thus in that context we got it right BUT what the prefect wanted was different, I think we really should have all the dorms incorrect answers posted in the open forum for discussion.
Some are blatantly wrong, but some are open for interpretation and although our score is changing, we still wouldn't win, I think it only fair as the 1st and 2nd placers are almost tied that all is viewed to make sure no misunderstanding was going on.
Also, can I just say for the record, I am not calling anyone a cheat BUT in our dorm we've just been informed that each dorms prefect marked their own dorms. Hmm personally, I think it should have been a prefect from another dorm marking each others. OK its done now, but thats the ONLY way to keep it totally fair and nothing can come back and say 'cheating' was involved - just a suggestion for later competitions.

I can understand your concerns, but I can assure you all that the prefects were all given the same mark sheets and all marked in the same way. Anything we weren't sure of, we talked about as a group: simple as that. I can understand for sure where you're coming from, but really there's no need to worry! Again, we all worked from the same copy of answers and if there was any "not sure's" that we saw popping up we talked them over with the other three prefects. 🙂
Obviously though it's a concern, so we'll keep it in mind for other competitions for sure, if it's really a worry. No problem there. :thumbsup:
As for the error in VH, I apologise as that was entirely my mistake and it's been corrected accordingly. I'd have no problem with other prefects posting wrong answers in their dorm for discussion, but personally I don't think that we need to bring it out into the "whole boards". I'd hope that these things haven't gotten so out of hand that we need to make a fun contest a public debate, I'm sure that if there's any problems it will be corrected just as smoothly as the one in VH was. I'd personally like to get the next competition started rather than dragging on one that's already said and done, you know?
VH is taken care of, and if any other dorms have any worries for sure just ask your prefects for the wrong answers. They're a very nice bunch, I'm sure that they will have no objections to doing so. 🙂

One of the reasons to post the answers is to spark debate.
Don't get offended and think this is to check up on you guys (though there is a small element of that) it is also to see if on some of the answers we came up with the same issues happened to arise.
IF you remember correctly we had three questions that caused a discussion in our dorm and it would be interesting to see if the other dorms were faced with the same discussion.
This isn't about proving you wrong its about conversing with all the other dorms on something.
I fail to see why you would have an issue with posting what each got for further comment and such as this is a discussion board and it would open up discussion.

We just answered 144 trivia questions (mostly correctly) on a message board that's for a cult show that's been off the air for years.
Of course we're the type of people who can just let it go. :silly:

Once a year the winner of the House Cup is announced, for the dorm which has won the most points in the previous year."

Good Job guys I was away during this period, this was an awesome comp and everyone did awesome, I was in the process of updating the Big Board and decided to up the points on the winner to separate them more from the runners up, so instead of 100 points for the Winner, Im awarding 200!
