The Most Terrifying Big Bad On Buffy.

I feel like Angelus represented the boyfriend who turned bad. A bit simplistic but ultimately Buffy slept with him and his behaviour changed. Afterwards he becomes the perfect stalker ex. It wasn't just those things that made me think he was the scariest but in general he hurt the Scoobies the most (physically and emotionally) and he had the background with them to make it worse. He had the knowledge and the inclination to destroy them psychologically. Even though I am male, Angelus' actions could have affected anybody. The best moment of Buffy's life resulted in her worst mistake.
 
Angel knew everything about them & we know how much Angelus like toying with people . Even the Master
liked how twisted Angulus was 🙂
 
Indeed.

Though the Master, while the big bad of season 1, never really had the opportunity to be really scare. That's the problem with being the first one I guess. The introduction of characters rarely allows for a fearsome initial opponent. That said, I did quite like him.
 
I think both being the first one & only seeing Buffy once was both not helping him .

Agreed. And because Buffy as show is bascially about the challenges of growing up and dealing with harsh everyday things, that re-inforces Angelus as being the most terrifying big bad for me. If it was just about over come the supernatural stuff then if you think about it after awhile there really wouldn't be that much of a challenge for Buffy.
 
But with Angel she has feelings for so she doesn't want to hurt him & Angelus took full advantage of that.
 
She does but it takes quite a while before she does & you welcome 😀
