Hollywood suddenly decide that they are going to make a movie depicting your life. Reporters are asking you who you would like to play you. What would the vibe of the movie be? Love story? Comedy? Drama? Indie Flick? Who would play you? Who would your supporting cast members?

Got thinking about this today and would love to hear what other people think.

In all honesty, I really don't believe that the world is ready to hear the real story of my life. Likewise, there doesn't exist at this time any actor capable of taking on a role of such depth and complexity.

BUT... if the day does ever come when the United States Government, the Vatican, and the Council of Avengers do all reach agreement that the world is ready to accept The Truth, my life story would have to combine high adventure, drama, romance, quite a bit of wry comedy, and even a certain amount of what might appear to be fantasy. As fir the actor chosen to play the part, only a genetic construct combining the features and talents of Robert Ryan, Steve Reeves, Chuck Norris, John Wayne, and Sam Elliot would be believable.

Reality: Most peoples lives are way too boring to make a movie about and since I'm more boring than most (not a complaint, just a fact) the day they decide to do a movie about me the world is in huge trouble. Imagine I am Legend without anything interesting.

Lets play: It'll be a fantasy. Kind of a The Neverending story for adults. The role of me will be played by John Cusack. Not that he resembles me in the slightest but he can be out there, out of his mind which suits. Supporting cast will include Ralph Macchio (Oh yes), Sandra Bullock, Anna Torv, Ashley Judd, Melinda Clarke, Eric Millegan, David Blue, Michael J. Fox and the voice of Mike Myers. In the"real" world my dad would be played by John Noble and my former best friend by Tim Curry. Mark Shepard will also play an important role.

Now what about you Cait?

Being me, it'd have to have a pretentious title. Something like 'Trapped Inside My Own Mind'.

Frank Capra is the only person who could possibly direct the tale of love, loss and internal struggle that is my life. For those of you not familiar with his work, check out his IMDB profile and watch some of his movies. You'll understand why.

Philip Seymour Hoffman would be perfect for playing me. As an actor he can do anything and to play me he would only need to do smart arse and deep despair. Which wouldn't be a problem. Also like me, he doesn't look great on a 60ft billboard on the highway 🙂

As for anyone else in my life and the actors who should portray them, I won't besmirch any of their good names 🙂

I'll have to admit that for some years my life could easily have been a soap. No evil twins, mysterious deaths or rich people though. Drama, a lot of lying, cheating, partying, reckless behavior, deaths and jerks everywhere. Which I guess is most peoples lives at one point, except for deaths I hope. Me being the observer/storyteller. So if it ever got filmed you'd probably just hear "my" voice.

Well, I think the first installment of the trilogy (all epic tales have to be at least a trilogy) we be something of a teen comedy. I had a house party when my parents went to Ireland in Grade 11 that turned out to be way bigger than it should have been.

Well, directing duties would have to fall to Mr. Joss Whedon of course (or the late John Hughes), the kind of teen understanding (and believe me, with the way that party went down, there would have to be a lot of understanding).

Leading man? Hmm...Call me crazy, but I'm picking Zac Effron (I don't know why, but I like him, and if we were to choose the more attractive version of me [only slightly of course 🙂], he's probably be it). The female lead would be a 1998 SMG (if we can get her) or Diana Agron. Actually, to hell with it. This is my story, so 98 SMG it is 😀.

Supporting cast? He might be a little old now, but Jonah Hill work work perfectly as one of my friends who convinced me that having this party was a great idea. I had a girl who always looked a little like Taylor Swift. Evangiline Lily would be the history teacher I always...um...learned a lot from. Bryan Cranston would would be my Dad. I can't really think of someone for my Mom though.

The next two though? Those would be all action, adventure, high-whirlwind romance and mystery. I'm working on the script as we speak.

It would have to be directed by more than one person. Quentin Tarantino, Sofia Coppola and Stanley Kubrick...but obviously that's not going to happen. Samuel L. Jackson would play me, he'd wear a wig. Does that make any sense? No, but neither do I.

I need to see this movie!
That would be a hell of a boring movie 😀
Anyway, the cast would be something like this: Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Richard Attenborough, Samuel L. Jackson... oh no, wait...

I have no idea what the story of this movie could be like. It would be about how much I hate some of the classes at school and certain teachers and I guess it would be a comedy or something.

Mine would probably look a lot like Rachel Berry's story (Glee), without the boyfriend and we'd have to replace the show choir by a group of friends volunteering at the school library. And my character wouldn't dream of Broadway, but of Hollywood. And she wouldn't be getting slushied but just bullied mostly by one guy in particular... Actually when I think about it it isn't a lot like rachel's story... But it's my movie so to hell with it!

I'd want Michelle Trachtenberg to play my role, since we're like cosmic twins XD and as much as I love her, I'd probably ask Lucy Hale to do her voice when the singign would start. Because there'd be a lot of singing 😀

My best friends would be portrayed by Jewel Staite and Steven R. McQueen. My father would be Bruce Willis (he's so much cooler than my father!) and I can't find anyone to play my mom... Nobody's good enough XD

So it would be a musical about how much high school sucks. And I would skip the changing-college-twice-and-studying-dance-for-one-year-muscle-torn-problem-had-to-stop-school-for-a-year stuff... I'd just go straight to me deciding what to study in, then attending the ComicCon last week-end and asking my question to the Warehouse 13 panel and deciding to get in an agency and start my acting career for real.

It be a musical 😛 nah definitely be a Drama-Comedy ... I dont know if anybody could actually play my role...atleast not somebody known yet but I could be wrong...i think i'd prefer unknown actors instead of famous ones cause it feel more authentic

A musical... hmm... Wicked Lu: The Journey of a Puerto Rican

I want to see Lu the musical!!
The movie of my FANTASY life would star Alexa Davalos as a kick ass ninja super spy that puts James bond to shame!!!!!

The movie of my REAL life would most probably belong on "America's funniest home videos". 🙂

My life's pretty boring and tame now, but my childhood and teen years were....interesting, to say the least. It would probably be a dramedy, with a dash of crime saga. Think 8 Mile meets Superbad with a sprinkle of The Outsiders. Jesse Williams (Holden from Cabin In The Woods) would play me. It would be directed by none other than Martin Scorcese, and with most Scorcese films, it would have a wicked classic rock soundtrack (I'm 20, so my classic rock would be Nirvana, AIC, RHCP, Pixies, etc.) 🙂

I think Seth Green should play you. To me, you look like Seth Green :D And since it's directed by Scorsese, Robert De Niro is in it as well :p

I totally see Seth playing you. You both have that chilled bohemian thing going on.
So I decided that my movie would be part romantic-comedy and part drama. Starting with a combination of Bridget Jones and Sex and the City-esque themes and then turning into a P.S. I Love You and Dear John drama.

People that could play me? I think Dakota Fanning could play a good Cait. I'm thinking bleach blonde like in The Runaways but with a blunt fringe. And obviously she'd have to put on some weight haha - I'm all boob and hips!

I'd cast Blake Lively to play my best friend, and probably a dark haired Josh Hutcherson to play my most recent boyfriend.

I've actually been considering writing a very self indulgent book about my life, so it got me thinking!
