What did you believe was so easy and simple when you were young?

I had decided that I would move to Santa Monica, and I went through the catalogue, picked out my furniture and everything and decided I could easily move there for $5000. I mean, why couldn't I take my pretty plates and fly there plus rent a place for that!

I think my plan was to go after I finished school at 16, because I knew American school didn't finish until 18, so I would just go to school. I didn't need a job as I'd be at school, who cared about where the money for rent would come from!

And I hated school, why would I want to do more of it!

I thought time and the years would last forever, but now it goes like water.

The years pass by in seconds. Blink and you will miss it, there isn't enough time.

I feel like the total opposite. Life is going slower than the last 10 minutes of high school geography.
I used to believe that playing a tune on the piano was so easy, not now though.

I can't even remember the name of the tunes I liked most.
In The Hall of the Mountain King?
A Walk in the Black Forest?
I wish I could remember what they were called, I wish I still had a piano - not that I could play anything on it!

It’s not necessarily about what I believed would be easy but; I used to think that when I die, I would learn everything about the history of the universe I was curious about but had no answers for. 😄

Hey you still might! Especially if you believe in eternal life.

You used to think that it was so easy
You used to say that it was so easy
But you're trying, you're trying now
I thought we'd have a proper hoverboard by now 🙁 No need for noisy wheels on the pavement
