The Next Wonder Woman

Charisma has expressed interest in the role, but now Sarah is at the top of the list to take the lead in the remake of cult classic.

Two stars of recently finished US series Buffy the Vampire Slayer are competing to become the new Wonder Woman.

Former Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar is top of the list to take the lead role in the remake of the 1970s cult classic, according to the Daily Star.

However Charisma Carpenter, who stared in Buffy spin-off Angel, could also land the role.

"Charisma is a strong contender and she's equally as sexy," a movie insider said.

Meanwhile, another former Buffy star is about to make her mark on the London stage.

Alyson Hannigan, who played Willow, stars in When Harry Met Sally, which starts in the West End next week.

She will star alongside Luke Perry, who found fame in Beverly Hills 90210, in the stage version of the hit film.

I hope that one of them will get that role..I don't know which one I'd prefer tho..They're both great...
 
Yup,..but anyway,...I don't like her,..so,I won't watch the movie if she is stars,..and I wanna watch the movie😛...Charisma should be WW!...

Both would be good but I would like to see Charisma do it. I always picture wonder woman as a brunette, and I know Sarah is naturally brunette but I always picture her blonde. Also Sarah has proved herself in the kick-ass area of TV so I think Charisma should get a chance!

I know what you mean...but somehow I just picture her kicking some butt...and I could see her in the costume! LOL!!!

Oh I've been watching re-runs of Wonder Woman on tv lately..she didn't really do much fighting...mostly jumping! 😉
 
We already saw how SMG would look like in a low cost costume of WonderWoman(she did a skit of it on MTV Movie Awards I think last year or whenever she hosted), I think she would do it fine but she is just to short for the role, WonderWoman is an amazon and well Amazons in WonderWoman are tall.
 
I would like to see Charisma get the role over Sarah. It is not Charisma's time to shine!
 
hmmmm... competition between two of our fav Buffy characters... this should get interesting. I'm hoping Charisma get it(I always root for the underdog🙂)

What year did that come out in? That explains the lack of girl power!
 
I think Charisma's a better fit. I hope one of them gets it.
 
This should've been a poll...

Definetly Charisma! She just looks the part so much more than SMG. In the end, I have a bad feeling that A) the movie won't even be made, or B) neither SMG or CC will star in the role.

Oh gawd I just found the funniest site!!!! The pilot aired in 1975, and then it ran from 1976 to 1979. Linda Carter didn't even play Wonder Woman in the pilot!

Well they did give WonderWoman a lot of different stupid outfits, the red outfit is diffently the worse out of the bunch

Word is spreading quickly that Sarah Michelle Gellar (aka Buffy the Vampire Slayer) is top of the list to take on the role of Wonder Woman. This comes shortly on the heels of the news that Charisma Carpenter last week actually did say she wanted the role.

Fans, no matter where you're reading the Gellar bit, the news originated from UK's The Daily Star, who like to make up news (AND quotes from alleged 'insiders') on the spot.

Don't believe a word of it.

Like Raine said the chances are very small. The script isn't even made.
 
I hope that either one gets the role, I'd prefer it to be Charisma. Sarah is meant for bigger and more serious things.
