The number 1 single on the charts the day you were born!

#1 Single Simple Minds - "Belfast Child"

#1 Album Simply Red - "A New Flame"

I don't know who either of these are. I am slightly ashamed. Then again, I was born at the end of the 80's era lol

Simple Minds are the band who sang "Don't You Forget About Me" from The Breakfast Club. Think of a Scottish U2 :)
The truth comes out! lol! (I don't really mind ya'll wanting to know how old I feel ^_^ )

The Number 1 single was:
Brotherhood Of Man - "Save Your Kisses For Me"

The Number 1 album was:
Led Zeppelin - "Presence"

Thankiu, that was enlightening 🙂

Ah, the Motherhood of Bran...I know exactly how old you are because for many years it was a family joke that I was 3 at the time that song came out!

That link says it was Donny Osmond with 'Puppy Love', but another site last week told me it was Slade with 'Take Me Bak 'Ome' (for those not born in England in the 70s, Slade were well known for weird spellings in their song titles!). Personally I think it's a shame that I only just missed out by a couple of weeks on Don Maclean's 'Vincent' (Starry Starry Night) which is much more me.

Well, for me...

#1 song: Hey Jude/Beatles(that was based on the Billboard charts); Those Were The Days/Mary Hopkin

According to my dear friends at Mozilla Firefox it was this song by this singer:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6gB89aThM0"]Smoke! Smoke! Smoke! That Cigarette---Tex Williams - YouTube[/ame]

...which is ironic, considering that I've never used tobacco in any form in my entire life.
