I'd like to begin by saying The Oc actually rules. Its awesome. Great. Excellent. Brilliant. ect.

Over the past few years I've caught random episodes thought it was OK, until I got into a Sunday morning routine watching T4 (I know....but it was Sunday mornings ok!!!!) and The OC grew on me.

So on a whim the other day I happen to walk into Blockbuster and what do I find. Oh nothing but a cheap pre owned copy of The OC season 1 on dvd. I bought instantly. I've just finished watching it all and I recomend it to any self respecting televsion fan. I think theres a little something in there for everybody.

I could go on for hours, but if I'm on my own here on Buffy Boards as an OC fan let me know...and I'll stop. But please say if your a fan of the show, or even if you don't like it. Please say what you like/dislike! I'd very much like to discuss. (I even tried joining an OC boards, but it was scarily complicated and the discussions consisted of who would you most like to date.....so I left never to return again. Don't make me return there by having no discussion !!)
 
I love it, but if you havent seen to the end of season 3 yet, I dont want to say anything incase I accidentally spoil stuff for you😛
 
I know!! I love the OC (Ok we have had the conversation before on MSN) but Yes the first season is excellent television, It was really brilliant. The storyline was so interesting, the music was amazing, and the characters were so intriguing!

I did the exact same thing, I joined a load of OC boards, but the discussions were always so shallow. I would comment on the episodes with stuff like "I loved the music in this scene it was perfect" or the Dialog was so funny because..." and then got replies like "And Ryan looked so good in this episode!!"

But I will admit that the series has gone down hill since the first season, The third had moments that were just horrible!
 
lol, dont worry about spoilers! I know the shocking conclusion of season 3. I saw most of it when it aired in the UK. I know bits of season 2, but not really that much. But again don't worry about spoilers for me, I've kinda pieced things together from watching the first and 3rd seasons.

The music in season 1 especially awesome!

I'm a little skeptical about season 4...I've heard things...

I totally love the OC since the first episode!
The show is very interesting, I thing that josh schwartz,the creator, did a splendid job!Like BEG said the storylines and the characters are very interesting ,the music is awesome, the actors do a pretty good job and I love the humor of the writers (especially the lines of seth,they are hilarious!)
Even if some actors made a lot of progress on their acting (like ben mckenzie,he gets better in each season)and the writers do a great job to continue to entertain us, IMO the first season is still the best one...
And WHTGTV, I know what you mean about season4...I've read some stuff too and i'm afraid that the show could be totally different from the beginning and not as good a it used to be...I'm really looking forward to it though...
 
Heh. As you know I love The OC too. I didn't use to, I only watched it 'cause of the dialogues (come on it's h i l a r i o u s), but when I saw the season 2 finale, I became an actual fan. Gah.
I have to say season 3 disappointed me though, and I don't know if I even really look forward to season 4 anymore... hm.
 
I watching the Pilot on E4 now, and It's been on for 10 mins and already I remember why it was so amazing. It is just incredible. I love how they have different colours for Chino and Newport.
But it's made me mad at just how bad they allowed it to get in season 3! I herd it was cuz JS wasn't at the show as much and was off doing stuff (I hate when creators do that!) but he's coming back for next season. Hopefully it won't be to late, if they could get it back to it's great years it would be so cool.

I have to say when I was watching One Tree Hill and The O.C. season 1 at the same time, I loved the The O.C. and thought OTH was alright. But now tOC is only alright and OTH is brilliant, season 3 is excellent television!

I'm also so glad they killed Marissa, I loved her character but I just think it was a very smart move. People will probably tune back in to the first episode of season 4 to see the reaction of the characters to her death. Hopefully they can have an excellent enough season opener to keep people interested. Other wise there is no way it will survive past season 4!

I've herd some stuff about S4 as well, and while I like Caitlyn(SP?) I hope they don't which the focus to her to much. With characters also being sent to different places hopefully they can make some new friends which will stick around. Instead of having them meet hook up and then have them leave the show never to be seen again!

Oh and It also doesn't look good for it's time slot. It's up against CSI and Grey's Anatomy, which has to be the stupidest decision ever. What where they thinking!!
 
Hm, well killing Marissa was weird imo, but also good. Obviously there wasn't much more to do with the Ryan/Marissa thing, and few people would accept either of them with anyone else as long as there is still a possibility for them to end up together. My question though: What will happen to Julie? Seriously..

Kaitlyn, can't help but loving the way she speaks, but yeah, agree, hope they don't focus on her.. like.. at all..

And yeah, The OC is better than OTH basically cause of the dialogues, which are just soo much better..
 
I have a 32 year old cousin that watches the OC. He's currently an alcoholic. I'm not saying there is any definite relation between the two, but...
