and ive only seen one other worst character thread, which made me think of this in the first place.

I think the problems are that a) we have bandwidth issues fairly frequently and most of us get annoyed when things that could suck up the bandwidth crop up, because we'd prefer to have BB alive than a few extra threads covering the same basic topics; b) there is at least one other thread on this, so another one really isn't necessary; and c) you're trying to, by popular vote, decide who the absolute worst character in the Buffyverse is--and that's going to annoy some people because we all have our own opinions on different characters. That's why we have discussions. Trying to say "THIS one is the worst, case closed!" necessarily disallows discussion, which defeats the whole point of the boards.

Nope. Sick of the constant "Worst this and worst that" on every forum I see. If that's all there is to discuss, things are in worse shape than I thought.

And I don't see the point in deliberately duplicating threads just for the hell of it. I doubt that many people are going to change their choices from one to the other, and by this time, I suspect pretty much everybody with internet access and half those without know which three or four characters are the most disliked whether anybody ever did another one of these idiotic polls or not. And, as BB pointed out, the only thing these polls do prove is that people have different opinions - they mean absolutely nothing as far as proving any objective "worst character," because some nutjobs vote for Buffy, Willow, Xander, Giles...

im glad to see most people who enter this thread dont have a problem with it and even if they find it idiotic
are still easy going enough to take it for what it is, a bit of fun.
i didnt mean to offend anyone with this list. :0)
 
Ok, so I voted other but that´s just because I wanted to see the score. Even if I´m far from totally in love with every character, to call someone the absolute worst seems pretty close to hatred. And such feelings I don´t have. But hey, that´s just me. My least favourite ones can been seen here Your Least Favourite Character. - Buffy-Boards

I´m happy to see that Dawn is doing ok. I thought she was quite unpopular. It´s also interesting to see that the only ones not getting a vote this far are Faith, Wesley, Anya and Lorne.
 
I really didn't like Kennedy. I loved Tillow and not only did we get another love interest for Willow, but one who was so bossy and annoying. What were the writers thinking, giving us another love interest for Willow so soon? I'm not even sure they knew that she was unpopular.

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd suspect they were thinking about, y'know, actually writing a story that went somewhere, instead of catering to a bunch of people who wanted them to pattern the show after shipper fanfiction...

Somewhere between 6 and 12 months is too soon? And wasn´t it more like Willow was a love interest for Kennedy than the other way around? Willow wasn´t looking for a realationship, Kennedy was. And correct me if I´m wrong but I don´t remember Willow saying "Oh, I love you so much, now I don´t even think about Tara." It´s just nice to have someone you know.
 
I've completely changed my mind. The one character I truly hate is Eve from AS5. SHE IS SO ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!! Okay, maybe not the character, but the actor's voice. At first it was okay. I even kinda liked it, but now it just makes me wanna kill myself!
 
I agree with you both Rowan and Slayerpower.
I really hated Kennedy(like really hated) but, im glad she was in the show, you cant like everyone. They made her like that on purpose(i think)
and it wasnt too soon for willow. She cant pass up a potentialy great relationship just because of what happened with Tara.
You gotta move on and wether thats 2 months or 2 years dosnt really make a difference or change what happened.
 
It's amazing how many people had the same reaction to Tara after she "took Oz's place." (Much sooner after Oz's departure, in fact - although, from first meeting to full intimacy was about the same length of time with Tara as it was with Kennedy.)

I know they do; I was just throwing in my I-hate-Kennedy 2 cents. :)
Personally, I think it was more that the Willow and Kennedy thing just didn't have the chemistry that was there with both Oz and Tara. It felt more like "Ok, we've got to put Willow with someone so ......here!"
 
ack. some people will hate me for this, but Tara is my answer for worst character. Not that I didn't like Amber Benson - I think she is a wonderful actress. But the CHARACTER of Tara just bored the living hell out of me. And I never saw any "great love" of Tillow. The gay thing didn't/doesn't bother me at all.... but I just didn't get that they were so special together. I saw it & felt it w/Willlow & Oz. (But I loved it when Tara died because that brought on Evil Willow, and I LOVE Evil Willow!!! :evillol:

Also, Kennedy. I liked Kennedy as a bitchy potential, but the whole relationship with Willow .... bored, now.

In Angel, I couldn't care less for Nina... Angel's werewolf girlfriend. Again.... bored now. :end:
 
^^The only reason i didnt put Tara in is because i knew she wouldnt win, but i kinda see your point Buffanator.
I mean, i liked Tara. She wasnt really that interesting but she's such a nice person id feel bad for hating her.
