Wolfram & Hart gives their company to Angel, and you have to ask why.

Something just occured to me, though. This isn't the first time Wolfram & Hart has given over the keys to their kingdom.

Once before they put Lindsey in charge of the company. They did this after Lindsey double-crossed them, and showed signs of wanting to be a good guy. It happened towards the end of Season 1 in the episode Blind Date.

Why did they do that? I think if you knew the answer, it
could possibly give a clue as to why W&H would do the same thing with Angel. Will this possibility ever occur to the fang-gang?

Will we see the return of Lindsey? (The actor's not dead or anything is he?)

No, no he's not...now I'm going to be stuck with serious thoughts all night! 😛 I imagine you sitting in a big room at an antique desk with stacks of papers and loads of bookshelves all around you...and your sitting there with your elbows on the desk, fingertips together just pondering with an insanely serious "my brain my very well hold the secrets to the meaning of life" look on your face...wow...
 
I don't think Christian Kane is dead.

W&H probably is expecting for Angel to destroy himself. They take somone good (i.e. Angel and Lindsey) and they hand over the empire. They let the person think they have the control, but sooner or later that person won't know the line between good and evil anymore. They might leave town as Lindsey had. They may also turn to the dark side. They're not manipulating W&H anymore, the firm's manipulating them. Angel believes that he can do this without making a fatal mistake. Of course, Angel may spend more hours thinking about this more than anybody else. The writers will someday give us the answer to this question, but until then, we can only speculate.
 
I picture nerd4hire the exact same way, Rayne. Except he's wearing those groucho marx glasses with the mustache, and he has a yellow banana clip in his hair.

I think you are right in fact...I believe that unless they are VERY careful they will find themselves either slowly corrupted, which you just KNOW is going to happen to some degree, or they figure they will break him down enough to get the upper hand on him...

BTW, LD, the mascot is on his way to your place...😛
 
I don't know but I think he'd be interesting to converse with over some coffee and LOTS of pecan pie...I do deep convos in person...we should have a thread that's a tribute to Nerd4hire's noggin...

Hah. That just shows what you know... I shaved the mustache.

Actually it's uncannny how close you guys called it (especially the Ho-Hos thing). Hey, did I leave that damned Web-Cam on again? 😉

I'm with you! If there were such a thing as the official Buffy-Boards Weekly Columnist, nerd4hire would be a shoo-in for the post. He's always johnny-on-the-spot with the erudite observations.

First of all, Angel's killing lots of people. Second, didn't some prophecy say that come the apocalypse, Angel will be working for W & H. Maybe Wolfram and Hart decided that Angel better start working bright and early for them?
