The ones we lost...

While rewatching Buffy (endless Fanboy loop, sorry, just me 😉 ) it always get me.

I feel sorry for Jesse. Even as a vampire, he still felt like Xanders (best)buddy.
Also Miss Calendar. Her death was a stunning climax (thats for sure), but I really liked her character and her interaction with Giles. That was shattering.
And I miss the Buffy Bot. Great (glitched) personality. I think some Seven of Nine kind of stuff could have been nice.

Are there characters you miss?
 
I did miss the Buffybot. She was so happy and peppy with her lot in life. I also think SMG had fun playing her. 🙂

Amanda. I would swap her fro Rona in a heartbeat. Proof that there is no 'grand plan' or karmic justice. 🙁

I missed Oz. I know he didn't die but I liked his presence on the show in those early seasons. I would've liked to see him come cack for a cameo or two.
 
I would have loved to see Oz in the later seasons, even if it literally was just a blink or you'll miss it cameo.

Also, I would have loved to see Drusilla back too. Technically she is dead, so she counts right?! 😀
 
The deaths which I found the saddest were:

Joyce, Angel (S2) and Jenny - particularly Joyce and Angel - I bawled over those ones!

Although in Angel I found the deaths way sadder: Cordelia (if I could bring one person back it would be her) Fred and Wesley.

I was also inconsolable after the loss of baby Connor! Teenage Connor was a huge disappointment of course. 😀
 
Anya's death always left me bewildered. I mean, yeah there's a lot of mayhem and destruction going on when she dies, but no one really makes a big deal out of her death. Its like "Oh yeah, Anya died".

I would have expected Xander to cry or get angry or something but he doesn't really seem to be affected by her death. That always bugged me.
 
Another vote for the Buffybot. SMG does peppy very well.

Jonathan dying was like a horrible cold reality check to me. He had been in scary situations SO MANY TIMES in precious seasons (Almost kissed to death by Inca Mummy, taken hostage by a Tarakan assassin, survived a near suicide attempt AND graduation) and I genuinely thought he would always survive. I know he was a villain (a rubbish in) in S6 but when he died I felt like Buffy had gone to an even darker place and I thought - okay, nobody is safe.
 
Jonathan's death sucked! I wanted so badly for him to be standing there with the Scoobies at the end of 'Chosen', having finally found his place. Instead his body is buried beyond recovery in the crater that was once Sunnydale... 🙁

Plus, him and Andrew annoying the piss out of the gang in the final season would have been hilarious. I thought Tom and Danny worked well together.
 
I missed Merl. He sporadically popped up in two seasons of Angel and his death was actually really sad because of the nature of it, especially as he was found when Angel was going round to apologise for how he'd treated him (that bastard).
