The Opening Credits For "Superstar"

Why didn't they just bill Danny Strong in the opening credits for "Superstar", if they were gonna add some action scenes in the credits anyways? What was the point of that?
 
I've thought that before, but theres one reason why I'm GLAD they didn't:

If you remember, Tara was never billed as a regular, even though she had enough screen time and enough role in the plots to be qualified as one... HOWEVER, she was billed as a regular in that ONE episode, so I can consider her a full on Scooby because she was in the credits. Based on that, I would also have to consider Johnathan a full on cast member if he was billed as a regular in one episode. Now this is probably just me, and probably none of that made sense, but thats my thinking.
 
Would they have to pay him more for that, even if it were a credits gag?

Um, hello.... Did you watch the actual episode? LOL The whole point was that Jonathan was inserting the fantasy of himself into everyone's lives, so of course it made sense for the production team to insert clips of Danny into the credits. It was done to hint at what was coming in the episode, as well as to confuse us as the viewers. 🙂
And they didn't bill him because he was still a guest star. Only regulars get billed in the opening credits, no matter what.
 
It is likely that it will be a contractual issue that constrained the usage of a credit in the opening. Actors that appear in opening credits generally demand more money as they now classify themselves as 'stars'.
