I think one of my favourite character(s) ever on Angel were the two oracles... (weren't they "brother" and "sister"?) I LOVED the costumes and the makeup especially. the body paint was REALLY well done. And they were really well acted too... had to show no emotion...etc. I think my favourite line was when Angel offered his watch as a gift, and the female said soemthing like "I like time. It is nothing, yet you give it such importance" I know that's WAY off the line... but it WAS over two years ago that I heard it... does anyone have the real line?
 
i like the oracles too. they were really cool! i have that line somewhere, ill lookfor it, k? 🙂

The oracles were good, I liked them too although they didn't appear much. Not sure what the line is for definite but I know what you're on about 🙂
 
I never really watch angel that much, but that line is so philosophical and very true, now that i think of it. Its actually lovely! *Impressed* - lol, it wasnt you who said it, but its really cool! 🙂
 
I just watched that episode on video (I Will Remember You) and the Oracles rocked! Lol, they were very cool! That episode was great though, but very ::crying::-y!

She kinda had to forget - shes not immune to the whole MOST POWERFUL BEINGS INTERVENING TO TURN BACK TIME thing! But it was soooo sad - they were so happy! ::crying:: *sigh*
Thats how they should be together at the end of all buffy and angel - G-d forbid that happening (the end) but it has to sometime . . . goes off to cry . . . ::crying::

But i still manage my 😀 at the end 😀
 
I liked The Oracle as well. They kind of got on my nerves though. If they acted like that to me I probably would have tried to punch one of them. But what good would that do? That are The Oracle after all.
 
Yeah, they were annoying but i dont think they were supoosed to be lovely! 😉
The brother was annoying especially coz he wouldnt have helped Angel out!
They were very wise and interesting though!

An interesting pair of characters with some thought provoking lines. I agree the make-up was fantastic and they are often copied at convention fancy dress parties.

It's a shame they killed them off, but it was a good shock tactic.

The Oracles are copied at fancy dress parties! Lol, they are intriguing, if annoying, characters!!!

They were killed off in the Season One Finale 'To Shansau in LA' - not sure if i've spelt that right. They were killed by someone working for Wolfram and Hart as they wanted to 'sever Angel's link with TBTP'

Yup my friend Kris and her cousin dressed up as The Oracles, the costumes were really well done.
