On October 24, 2004, there was a fundraiser for John Kerry and John Edwards, High Stakes 2004 (
http://www.highstakes2004.com) at the Cinescape in Hollywood. Hercules T. Strong of Ain't It Cool News had originally planned to host the fundraiser at his own apartment, but the event got just a bit too big when Joss Whedon decided to attend and bring along several of his friends.
