Hi everyone, this is my first post!

I was wondering if anyone knew that in this episode, when Buffy killed the last hell hound was the way in which it died, was it edited out cos it's seemed pretty abrupted. One second Buffy is rolling around struggleing with the beast and next it's got a knife in it's chest. It's the same on the DVD as VHS

Quick and clean, I don't think it was edited, Joss maybe didn't wanna dwell on the kill. Notice how all of the kills are quick, its like when she catches up to them at the school you see her pointing her crossbow and killing one. She's all business.

I hope that makes sense as I don't really explain myself well 🙂

Plus they looked kind of like dogs...so maybe he just thought fast and quick would be the best way to portray that particular death(s). 🙂

What's wrong with killing dogs? Jos killed a cat in Dead Man's Party.

That scene has always confused me! It does seem like it was edited out because the ending was so abrupt, but my question is where did the knife come from? I thought Buffy brought a crossbow? At first I figured it was Buffy, but she seemed surprised when the hellhound died so I was wondering if someone else threw it (like Angel?) or if the dog merely landed on it somehow? Anyone know how this works? 😕
