Can't wait for this! John Travolta will play the films main bad guy Howard Saint. While Thomas Jane will play The Punisher. The film has been written by Jonathan Hensleigh who will also direct.

i heard about this on access hollywood...damn...im definetly going to see it...cant wait...
 
i'm sorry...but thats a gay costume brah...the outfit in the comics looked way better cause it was tight...this guy looks like he's going to a comic book convention...plus...this guy suppossed to be thick as a mother...where's the muscles yo!!
 
lol, he dosnt look as swav as the other marvel characters ive seen in the films they have produced. i'm not a marvel comic reader myself, or even a comic reader in general.
 
These pics of Thomas Jane are just promotional ones. Their not actual screen captures from the film. Here is a small pice about what fights in the film will be like and how Thomas Jane is getting ready for his role.

"That same focus on keeping it real is why Thomas Jane is training now with four Navy SEALs for next year's The Punisher. Every day he goes to Huntington Beach to learn basic weapons training.

"The stuff on the wires and all that crazy dancing that was done so well in Crouching Tiger is beautiful, but it's not very real world. We're kind of going back to old-fashioned days. Serious hand-to-hand combat without all the trickery and dancing."

It's scarier, he says. "Stylized violence is a way of stepping away from violence and making it palatable. With our movie, we inject a sense of here's what happens when it really goes down." Jane will spend months training.

How much will he do himself? "I've done a few action films now, and it's very popular to try to do all the stunts yourself until the insurance company steps in and says no. No film is going to ever go beyond that." If any actor is unable to work and production has to shut down, money is lost."
 
i want to see this... i dont care if the guy is not full of musles... he has that crazy evil -i'll kill you- look in his face... enough for me
 
yeah...i think dolph was made for the punisher...too bad he accepted the movie like 15 years to early...although..that movie had decent action...but it won't have the all around effect like this one...this one should be illl...cause the punisher is a bad mofo...

the teaser is alright... sounds like this might be a darker movie after all unlike most comic book movies
 
Unfortunately, I don't hold out a lot of hope for this movie. The buzz is that is no where near the brutal, exciting world of Marvel's Punisher. It's said to be just a pale imitation of "Death Wish" with a logo.

There is also the curse of any film where John Travolta is in shape (as rumored to be here) and plays a bad guy.

Don't ask me to explain why, but a fat, nice-guy John Travolta seems to be inevitably good box-office karma (Michael, Get Shorty) while the buff, evil-guy John Travolta (Swordfish, Battlefield Earth) means a bomb.

Yep, I sure did - do you feel Pulp Fiction contradicts the theory?

(1) It was a chubby Travolta.
(2) Even though he was a hit-man, the other characters in the film were so reprehensible you could still call him (along with Sanuel L. Jackson) the protagonist.
After all, it WAS a Tarantino movie! 😉

But isn't Travolta playing the villain in this Punisher movie? Dude, he's the bad guy who kills frank Castle's entire family. Given that, I don't believe you'll find him to be the protagonist in this flick.

Sorry, but I also don't see a young, 170lb. model-type like Thomas Jane playing a warrior like the Punisher. The 1990's Dolph Lundgren Punisher movie was hideous, but he did at least look like the character.

This talk about Pulp Fiction is leading me out on a quest for the perfect cheeseburger.... see ya! 😉
